top end speed is more aero than engine, there's also no visible clipping difference, except maybe a tiny bit more this year. Steepness of rpm curve is also very close. I think Ferrari is following similar program YoY regarding engine modes.
No rain at the moment and there seems to be a chance of a dry qualifying. Fingers crossed. I want to see the potential of the cars on this track.dialtone wrote: ↑08 Jul 2023, 15:00top end speed is more aero than engine, there's also no visible clipping difference, except maybe a tiny bit more this year. Anyway quali is likely wet so unlikely to give much indication since they probably won't use DRS if it's wet.
Looking at the basic radar, there is a light band of rain south of the track, around Oxford at the minute, and there is heavier rain to the North of Sailsbury (west of Oxford) but that seems to be on a slightly different track. I think the rain to watch is the bit around Reading which is likely to hit the circuit. How quickly im not sure, but theres a hour and 40minutes until the end of Qualifying so anyones guess.
Net gain must be higher. Most of the time drs is closed.scuderiabrandon wrote: ↑08 Jul 2023, 15:19Wouldn't that decrease the 'DRS efficiency' since they are dropping less drag when opening
