Exactly. F1 wants to have the cars on track more throughout the weekend - that's what the sprint is for, after all. But this tyre change will have the opposite effect. Fewer tyres means less running. It's obvious to everyone.

People pay for race weekend tickets to see F1 cars on track not in the garages.Just_a_fan wrote: ↑22 Jul 2023, 16:37It limits running in general. Max, Lewis and Lando have all spoken against it. Lando even said that if it hadn't rained, then people wouldn't have run much at all.AR3-GP wrote: ↑22 Jul 2023, 15:07Can you summarize what the problem is with it? Yes epic quali and max most likely did bottle that 6th consecutive polePlatinumZealot wrote: ↑22 Jul 2023, 17:03HHHHHHUUUUUNNGGARROOOOKKKIIIIINNGGG111!!!!?
AWesome qualifying!
But it was lost by Max more than won
by Lewis!
Exactly. And the tyre allocation rule will reduce that which is bad for the spectators.Mogster wrote: ↑22 Jul 2023, 17:00People pay for race weekend tickets to see F1 cars on track not in the garages.Just_a_fan wrote: ↑22 Jul 2023, 16:37It limits running in general. When are new drivers supposed to settle and develop if there’s so little running? There’s the sim but it’s hardly the same as real track time.
I would have expected Lewis to lead after lap 1 even starting from p2.. Something similar to Australia.CaribouBread wrote: ↑22 Jul 2023, 17:14He absolutely had to work for that one, great lap by Lewis! Still writing records.
Looks like it'll be an interesting first few laps tomorrow.
