Take it for what it's worth, prolly not much. I do think the difference between Alonso and Stroll is telling, though. Piastri is a rookie, so I think one should make allowance for that. The bottom four is harder to determine, with single results accounting for big differences.

This website's author uses a mathematical model that tries to rank drivers and primarily uses % of the team's points scored and driver comparisons to achieve this..

It's very flawed, but they have a lot of data of these driver head-to-heads stored.

Stroll is a guy who bought his way into F1 very unprepared and had people calling for his head immediately.
With time and effort he made himself into an ok midfield driver(which is respectable), so the jokes basically stopped.

His "problem" is that he now finds himself a very desireable seat, and the fact that he isn't fast or consistent enough for such a high end car are starting to come into evidence.
I wonder when it's gonna be the time that Lawrence has to tell Lance "you've been here long enough, maybe try prototype racing or F-E now?".

I suppose it depends if his desire for a title is more than his desire to have a highly rated son.
TBH, I do not see Stroll jnr as a bad driver just as you say, he was not prepared by the same track other drivers had to follow.
Alonso himself says something similar and seems prepared to put in a bit of assistance to make it a good team (with 'star' and 'backup' drivers of course)

I think he could do a reasonable job and with some luck falling his way become a 'respected driver' in the history books even if not by some who currently follow F1. There have been worse who did not show potential.

On the up side, if Stroll snr was not there putting money into this team, they would still be a mid table team, if they were even still in existence.

Main takeaways, Perez has taken a bit of a beating, as was plain to see for all over the last few races. Piastri is finding his groove, I don't think he needs to be worried, unlike Sargeant.
Gasly is slipping further behind, while Guanyu has picked up a little. but at the lower end of the scale single results have a big impact, so take that with a grain of salt. However, Magnussen needs to do something, quick.
As for Stroll, not sure how to spin that positively.

He's had 4 non-scoring finishes, of which one was an engine issue so not his fault. But he's failed in qualifying a number of times in a season when the field is close together and a tenth or two can mean several grid places. He's simply not as good as Fernando, but then few are. Fernando, in the same car, has scored points in every race.
