It's a bit early to say but signs point to yes for Friday/Saturday.

The answer to this question is ALWAYS yes for Spa.

I think McLaren may have a downturn in form here.

Just a hunch.

Last year's Q3 delta's were slightly differing compared to two days ago ..
P1-P10 a whopping 2.5s, only 3 drivers within a second.

A dry race would be nice for a change ..

Based on what? They looked very strong in high speed corners in Silverstone, maybe even stronger than RB. I know Spa is more about efficient downforce vs Silverstone, but it seems the updated Mclaren is not as draggy anymore.

I think it is the first circuit they'll come to with some proper low-speed corners mixed in with the high-speed (which they are arguably the class of the field in now, I agree).

Red Bull DRS advantage would be back here with a medium downforce wing as has been the case. So no matter how Perez qualifies, he should be on podium.
Aston is going to be far worse with a draggy car. Can't see them anywhere in top 10.
Ferrari should be better than in Hungary and can fight for podium in Sprint race. Not so much for a podium on Sunday.
McLaren would be fighting for podiums in both Sprint and Race.
Mercedes as usual would be there challenging for the podium with McLaren on Sunday. I doubt if they can do better in Sprint.
Williams would shine again in quali trim and potentially in Sprint and should make a good display on Sunday too in the mdifield.

Red Bull is going to be so far ahead, I'd still put my money on Max from P20. McLaren will be solid 2nd best.

As for the rest of the upper midfield, it's going to be tight between Aston, Mercedes and Ferrari. Aston thrives in the fast stuff but struggles in the slow speed stuff. Mercedes is the opposite, but Aston has superior straight line speed (judging from Silverstone). Ferrari is average in the corners, but its strong PU and top speed will help them in Sectors 1 and 3.

I see Williams making Q3 and disrupting the weaker of the Aston/Ferrari/Merc.

The gap between Redbull and the next best in qualifying is going to be huge this time. Would not be surprised if it's over one second. If checo doesn't qualify top 2 it would be a really bad job by him. With the long straights and high speed corners this is a Redbull haven.

You only need drs during quali lap so why is that an advantage.most team will run a lower downforce package so drs has no meaningful effect

I am expecting Max to be told to throttle it back soon. In fact, he may already have been told but in 'Max style' disregarded the instruction. If it keeps looking obvious that one car (should I say team??) is so far in front of everyone else they will be looking for some reason to clip its wings 'for the show'.

Possibly already the car has not had full range in qualifying, but it has to be released for the race as there may be unforeseen things. I also suspect the same happened at Merc when there was not a direct fight between the two drivers.
When arguing with a fool, be sure the other person is not doing the same thing.

In sunday's race max could lap the whole field except checo. Such would be the pace.
Let's remember last year and that this year the car is even better!
I hope Checo can qualify at front and try to challenge Max at least.
For Sure!!
