Starting from 6th was the least of Max Verstappen's problems as he soon returned to the front and built a lead that made winning look easy once again. Sergio Perez was no match to his teammate and finished second while Charles Leclerc had a good race for Ferrari to complete the podium.

I think there was some learning about setting the rb19 up that occurred. The question was about speed relative to the field. That means the cars it is actually racing. Compared to the cars it is actually racing, the RB19 is quicker than the W11 was. LikeWise the RB18 before it.
RB18 was a lot slower across the whole season than RB19, and W11. If it were, we'd see an RB 1-2 every week. Instead, we see one driver that is not guaranteed to be on the podium even.
