Not sure if this is the right thread, but it looks to me as of Merc is framing the low ride height allowed by the rules as a safety issue.
With the technology we have in today’s environment, it just seems unnecessary how we’re running a Formula 1 car at over 200 miles an hour, millimetres from the ground and it’s a recipe for disaster.

I think he is clearly hinting at active suspension, but it occurred to me they could also be they will lobby for a minimum ride height. That would be difficult to enforce, but raising the floors of the entire grid would mean thet can be back in the competition.
