Holy mackerel! If any car goes near the rear of that McLaren they might get lost in the cavern that is their diffuser!

The soft tyres are much faster today at the low temperatures.

Edit: Vettel now on P1 :)

Looks like the BrawnGP updates are working well as Button seems very competitive with Webber in the cold conditions and is currently fastest by 2/10ths.

Vettel has just jumped to the top over Button by 2/100ths of a second! 8)

EDIT: Webber's best time is 2/10ths shy of Vettel's and it's all from sector 3 - should be interesting to see if Webber will bolt on some softs and have a qually sim run.

Vettels onboard camera has the greatest clarity I've seen so far from an FOM broadcast. I'm wondering why. It's great to see though, give them to everyone.

Also the slow-motion shows some massive flex on the end-plates of the Toyota. It looks like it was about to snap off!

Perhaps they are experimenting wiith higher resolution cameras. First F1 HDTV broadcast today in Germany. Something to celebrate.

The FOM must have ditched those crappy composite video transmitters for the on-board cameras that gave us dot-crawl ridden images in the past and switched to proper RGB transmission! 8)

I dont think the camera resolution has ever been the issue, the transmission back to the broadcaster has always been composite video which is why we always had horrible dot-crawl and red's bleeding all over the place in the past from on-board footage.

I'd love to say that Mac and Hami are back, but I've been disappointed too many times before this season. I'll believe it in Q2/Q3 tomorrow.

Fumes and new options would be my guess as everyone else did more than 3 laps.

Argh, I mustn't have been praying to the right God! :? #-o

PS. I really like BoyWonder and he will be my fav driver in a few year when Webber hangs up his gloves.

See thats your problem right there... there is only 1 God

did anyone else notice the FIA graphic at the 15 minutes(left) mark of FP2 where it had the apex speed at turn 8 and LH was 10 clicks faster than anyone else and the gap from 2nd to 8th was less than 6 clicks... the speed could have been wrong(or maybe that was one of the places he ran off today, obviously testing the limits) but if not that is quite impressive.
