To give Lance some hope, he will have two chances to end ahead of Alonso (at least in qualifying) at Suzuka and Abu Dhabi, at least to end a poor season on a slightly better note.

I meant that those will be his two biggest chances, not his only ones but you replied too quickly! I think Fernando historically has fared a little worse in those tracks. Ocon outqualified him 3-0 (2021 Japan was cancelled) in those two. Jeddah is also notoriously poor since 2021 and Lance was about to do it but he made a mistake at turn 22. It would be the only real time he finishes ahead as I don't count Spain due to all the floor damage shenanigans and it being a weird session.

They've said they would continue with development at least. In 2022 if i'm not mistaken the last updates of the year were introduced in Singapore, we'll see if they do the same or bring more the next races

Yeah, as McCullough says: more efficiency is the goal for next years car, this years car won't benefit from it anymore.

I don't think that will fly.. changing materials isn't enough as Tombazis has made it clear that it's the mechanism to allow flex in certain directions itself, unmeasurable by static load tests, that is outlawed.

The flexing mechanisms used this year already were hidden by the teams using rubber seals.. but the FIA are wise to it now. Not sure how changing materials can get them around this
