Can we take a nice and direct path to on topic please? Do not pass GO, do not collect £200
thanks!
If so: from the floor test or FW test? Regardless supposedly street circuits aren't the car's strong suit. Also, new floor and RW endplate parts are being used.
#AMuS After two free practice sessions in Singapore, both Max and Checo are struggling with sliding rear ends and find the right balance
Red Bull is losing 4-tenths in the 3-corners first sector, according to Helmut Marko
While many suspected it has something to do with the revised TD039 which led to Red Bull bringing the modified floor, both drivers took turns with the modified floor comparing with the old spec and lap times showed RB19 with the modified floor is faster, especially Checo being fastest on mediums
Agree here. It's never looked a "maximum" downforce type concept, always with other chassis closest for one lap pace when that's really counted.
Maybe RB didn't expect it to be as smooth as it is. This should help the car“The newly asphalted areas have a lot fewer bumps than expected. We had to adjust to that first,” Mike Krack said
Looking at Sainz' lap from fp2 I immediately noticed track is much less bumpy. Maybe some cars had too much ground clearance for the newly established situation. I'm guessing this is what Krack is saying.
Flexy wings gone perhaps?
Yes but like the stock market, that effect should be priced in. The car shouldn't be worse than the simulations on a smoother track. I see no reason for that.
