crumbled? he starts 2nd
Well, his only opponent was basically his rookie teammate. He’s lucky they are a bit quicker than rest (not counting ver)
Mah, they had a good banker and then on the last lap he took more chances and made mistakes both days, not ideal but crumbling seems exaggerated, as you said he had no pressure outside his team mate.
completely agree, especially about today. He wanted to beat Verstappen and went for it, which was completely fine, having a Top 3 secured already the prior lap.
There's the start to navigate first. Norris is on the dirty side and a long run to T1search wrote: ↑07 Oct 2023, 17:11completely agree, especially about today. He wanted to beat Verstappen and went for it, which was completely fine, having a Top 3 secured already the prior lap.
Norris probably didn't know that he was only fighting Piastri in the end, who was a tenth or two behind after S2 already.
Question is how McLaren will handle this now. If they want to win the sprint, they should probably wave him through asap, but that's of course a thing you don't normally do.
More likely than not Verstappen will be P2 by turn 2.organic wrote: ↑07 Oct 2023, 17:21There's the start to navigate first.
