Under normal circumstances I'd say it is unacceptable RB is unable to completely rebuild one car to same optimal spec no matter the damage suffered, but given the sheer amount of accidents Perez has suffered this year it's actually not that difficult to imagine given cost cap implications. I just hope all these crashes do not too severely impact bottom line.Sieper wrote: ↑08 Oct 2023, 22:42Perez had to fit different spec parts after the crash yesterday. Making it more difficult. That crash itself also wasn’t really on him. These are mitigating factors and again also unlucky. But yes, shocking when you also see Max going around.
Lewis may have thrown away P2 in the end standings today, but then Perez does still need to step up.
Yes but they'll have 1 session to build the setup. So you never really see the car at full strength but instead just the friday guess. Like Qatar, I think it's potentially limiting. Checo will not benefit from that either...
The team would benefit from Checo performing worse, Lewis better and then they can leverage a better driver into the seat sooner rather than later. It'll cost them if the car isn't a rocketship next year
Good point. He is the reason they got into the part situation. Potentially even Max could suffer due to it too. Direct if he needs part and indirect as budget is spent on it. Budget they need otherwise.Juzh wrote: ↑08 Oct 2023, 23:02Under normal circumstances I'd say it is unacceptable RB is unable to completely rebuild one car to same optimal spec no matter the damage suffered, but given the sheer amount of accidents Perez has suffered this year it's actually not that difficult to imagine given cost cap implications. mini season since Mclaren were challenging RB from Austria.
Perez is estimated to be competing with Sargeant at the top of the destructors championship in terms of damage cost...if RB wanted Sargeant's bill, they would have hired him directly...Juzh wrote: ↑08 Oct 2023, 23:02Under normal circumstances I'd say it is unacceptable RB is unable to completely rebuild one car to same optimal spec no matter the damage suffered, but given the sheer amount of accidents Perez has suffered this year it's actually not that difficult to imagine given cost cap implications. 1 more upgrade for RB?What Verstappen certainly learned is how more and more closer McLaren is getting. The team was actually the only one posing a relative danger to Red Bull. That was not for the first time this season. "Through the year, McLaren is definitely making great strides. From our side, we will try to improve maybe a little bit this year, but of course, mainly, we are looking at next year."
