Verstappen was “driving” (ahem) at all times. I think it is valid they are trying to prevent end of lap queues as those are a shitshow and imho dangerous, but the way to achieve that needs some finetunen. This pitcrawl / total stoppage is also BS.

Rumour is no penalty for Verstappen, Alonso or Russell
Classic. Introduced a max laptime to avoid games on track only to introduce them at pit lane exit and give nobody penalties. Let's wait till Ferrari does it the first time for a 4 race ban and 3 place grid drop for the next 60 years worth of GP starts. All of which will be adorned by countless RBR fans saying that when Max clogged the pit exit it was different because he was going 1kph so technically he wasn't stopped.

Same bs as when half the grid was parked before the last chicane in canada when Vettel's Ferrari was coming through on a fast lap, nobody punished.

It seems you have forgotten about Monza already. Ferrari has already done it, with 20 seconds out of bounds or something thereabouts and they came out penalty free.

The problem is the FIA is either run by a bunch of cowards or a bunch of corrupt individuals.

Ferrari has abused the minimum laptime agreement in 2 of the last 7 GPs and got away with it. They may have had convenient excuses, but they still got away with it. Nevermind the driving standards in Monza which they also got away with...I think you can agree the FIA has been more than partial toward Ferrari as of late

I didn't forget about Monza... Or Suzuka or any other case in which cars were called in the stewards for max lap time violation and in ALL cases nobody was punished because you can check their onboard where they are letting 5+ cars through.

Do you suggest they hurt the performance of other drivers instead? We discount their impeding then because they have to support the lap time rule?

It must be a joke to compare clogging pit lane with letting other cars through on track...

Just wait till the teams take advantage of the FIAs stupidity/cowardice!

It will only be a matter of time till it is done on purpose to ensure the opposition doesn't get a lap in!

They just made it officially accepted that you can clog the pitlane in the last minutes of quali to ruin outlap and quali attempt of the drivers behind you.

What a bunch of wankers.

That would force their hand to make them define what you're allowed to do properly

Sargeant 10-place because why not

That's one of the many problems with the fIA, they are reactive, never proactive!

It could be as simple as having a minimum speed between pit entry and pit exit, if the lights are green!

That's odd then .. ignoring yellow while passing someone is 10places, not slowing down is zero places.

They explained that at least it is safer than happening on track. Which I agree. Not ideal yet, but a bit better.

20 cars times 5 to 6 second gap does not fit on a track of 78 sec laptime.
We dont want a traffic jam before the last corner, cause well see Vettel like you mentioned and 100s of other examples (Austria is always fun).
Logically, with the SC2-SC1 time, they need to create a gap at the start, which they have been doing for a long time by driving 5-10 kph in the pit exit, which is illegal "unnecessarily driving slowly", cause no one can cross the white line. Now Verstappen, being down to earth and honest just says. F that, if we are gonna stand "still", we might just as well stand actually still. There is no real difference between standing still and driving very slowly.
As long as teams want to create 5 to 6 second or even bigger gaps, this will happen and stopping in the pitlane is obv. the safer way to do this.

Dont spread horseshit, they were out by about 1 and 3 secs. Check the onboards.
There was nothing to penalize as they clearly followed the rules.
