Mclaren have not been known for getting their cooling sums right...

It's why there is FP, you test boundaries of what you can do.

Btw I'm optimistic that less FP running is good for the team, in sprint weekends they usually did well.

The flap being reprofiled suggests that soe minor changes to the existing flap. But a new beam wing as predicted to work with this config.

Errr, when last did they have any large issues with cooling? Maybe you're thinking of the other team beginning with M.

Pretty much every team has issues running in traffic for extended periods of time

Lando's bodywork is coming off. Engine issue I think?

Lando reported that he is bottoming out very heavily. Team is rising ride height for both cars now. Lando also has a small cooling issue.

Still a lot of bottoming/porpoising for Lando.

car certainly out of its sweet spot so far.. porpoising/bottoming in high speed looking pretty scary, and no front stability under-braking or rotation.

after second changes.. they definitely lifted the ride height a considerable amount... less bouncing, and quicker on the straights.

quite unstable rear and understeer through first 1-2-3-4 complex, braking into turn 7 is probably the worst bit, car is still unstable through 11 hence braking into 12 is compromised.

Does seem like they are on the back foot with the setup but I am confident the team will figure it out.

Apparently, the wing for Monza does not roll here, you need a little more, like for a Spa, and we don't have it.

I bet the team has the other wing as well but they haven't mounted it. It's not a job you do in middle of a FP.
