A 14 lap sting from Piastri there, coming into the pits just before the red flag. Finishing on a 1:40.061

Maybe not super fast, but stable. This is good, makes a good impression.

Interesting, I just started following this site which suggests 14 laps in that run and a different final full lap time.

https://f1-dash.vercel.app/

Perhaps it isn't that reliable, or I just am reading the numbers wrong.

The 14 laps on that website is saying the tyre's total age. I have software that tracks both. He did out/fast/in on two sets and then did a long run on each tyre

1.40 lap might've been ignored by live timing due to red flag.. not sure otherwise

It was set before the red flag and before he came into the pits, so I'm not sure. I'd disregard this site for now until I know it's idiosyncrasies.

All laptime data posts and 'analysis' posts should be removed, It is completely useless, why do mods allow this nonsense?

F1 teams: "We have no idea what our performance is like compared to others because we have no idea what programs they are running"

Random on a forum farming for upvotes: "ChEcK oUt mY aNaLySis HuR dEr hUr cAr iS fAsT"

Don't feed the troll.
Please explain how baseless dumps of laptimes and lap comparisons means anything?

Calling someone a troll for pointing out that; Without datums to base the analysis on, it is nothing but garbage.

Please help me understand how, in anyway, it is considered technical, information or helps towards the conversation?
It is nothing more than misleading.

Or you can continue to just call someone a troll because you disagree with them, it says a lot about you if you support this kind of thing, i suggest you visit r/formula1

It applies to all threads and discussions across forum, reddit and discord. The statement is still true; its nonsense data that does nothing but contribute to hysteria and misleading people into bloodthirsty arguments around performance.

Get a grip. Might as well not comment on the forum if we're not allowed to speculate

This is not "all threads and discussions across forum, reddit and discord" though. No upvote farming here.
Just deal with it. There are laptimes, people are going to post them and compare them, whether you like it or not.

No one is trying to suggest that the car is faster or slower. They are having fun looking at the data together during testing to see what they can ascertain about the car and to learn together how to understand some of the telemetry for some of the newer folks.

Secondly, your method of speaking is highly derogatory which is why I call you a troll, not because I disagree with you. Your method of referring to the vast majority of posters in here over the past few days as "iDiOt sPeAk Hur de Hur" is just rude. Because you disagree with them, therefore be obnoxious.

Testing has a habit of bringing those kinds of behaviours around, unfortunately, which is why from this point on your added to my block list.

The past 4 seasons we've had quite clear pictures of the competitive order in large part due to lap time analysis in testing. No need to troll.
