It's hard to capture differences in track condition (track temp, wind) but interesting nonetheless:
He made up a lot of time in T1-T3, and seems to have a bit more straight line speed between T3-T4 (+5km/h) and between T10-T11 (+4km/h), but a little bit slower in the medium speed corners. The laptime itself is 5.3 tenths quicker. If you remove about 1 tenth for the slip stream, you get around 4.3 tenths faster. This actually seems slower than expected considering that it would mean the combined development of 2023 and winter of 2023 yielded only 4 tenths.
I think there's a bit more to be found or it's just the new car as deliberately moved to a different aero window that is more efficient with an expectation of recovering the downforce with upgrades. Sometimes it takes a step backwards to move 2 steps forwards. With that said, I could be reading too much into it. This has never been a qualifying car. Maybe the low track temps just didn't suit it.
