Formu1a Uno says there will be a new floor for the Imola upgradesVinlarr89 wrote: ↑12 Mar 2024, 20:062 seasons at Haas then onto the scuderia if everything goes ok. The haas seems like they have found some stability now which is a positive.
Interested to see the development direction of the car this year. Seen some articles suggesting sidepods and suspension being the area of focus. I thought there would be more focus on the floor personally. Obviously not for one moment suggesting I know more than Ferraris engineering department
I seriously doubt Ferrari were keen to get a super young driver with only a single 'reasonably good' F2 season under their belt a jump up to F1.SoulPancake13 wrote: ↑12 Mar 2024, 18:01https://twitter.com/Vetteleclerc/status ... 90100?s=20
Are people happy now?
Keep in mind though that Ferrari would have all of his sim data(as would Haas) plus the 2 FP1 sessions. If he really impressed then, it doesn't matter totally how he did in F2.Seanspeed wrote: ↑12 Mar 2024, 21:49I seriously doubt Ferrari were keen to get a super young driver with only a single 'reasonably good' F2 season under their belt a jump up to F1.SoulPancake13 wrote: ↑12 Mar 2024, 18:01https://twitter.com/Vetteleclerc/status ... 90100?s=20

We also saw in the pits around his father that everyone was supper happy with the kid which is a very good sign.SoulPancake13 wrote: ↑12 Mar 2024, 22:04Keep in mind though that Ferrari would have all of his sim data(as would Haas) plus the 2 FP1 sessions. Do you have any idea why certain teams "scrub" sets of tyres for the race such as AMR? You could see it in the Pirelli strategy graph of this race as well. What could be the possible advantages/disadvantages of doing so? To a non engineer like me it seems kind of counter intuitive but there has to be a reason why they keep doing it.Vanja #66 wrote: ↑12 Mar 2024, 09:10So what Pirelli's expert Simone Berra is saying - Ferrari wasn't stable and balanced enough in terms of using peak adhesive grip on Softs in Qualifying. They believed heating up the tyres would bring more performance so first time they spent two laps heating them up and as a result they reduced adhesive grip (by stripping the top layers of the tyre). Due to low mechanical grip and higher adhesive grip ratio on this track, Leclerc managed to have his best time even when tyres were not fully up to temperature by exploiting adhesive grip fully with the fresh tyre. This is a new level of insight we are getting!
