Should have probably fixed the car first when they got Schumacher as well.

2 seasons at Haas then onto the scuderia if everything goes ok. The haas seems like they have found some stability now which is a positive.

Interested to see the development direction of the car this year. Seen some articles suggesting sidepods and suspension being the area of focus. I thought there would be more focus on the floor personally. Obviously not for one moment suggesting I know more than Ferraris engineering department 😂

Formu1a Uno says there will be a new floor for the Imola upgrades :)

In terms of suspension, I doubt we see anything new, it's more a matter of optimizing the new rear axle imo. Sidepods are pretty basic so no surprise there, it may look drastically different, but prolly not going to be a huge gain

Mick is just not at the same level of talent as Ollie though. Still, it wasn't the best place for a driver to develop, I agree

I think based on the formu1a uno article it’s safe to assume the changes to the inlets being predominantly the volume as opposed to copying the inlet design of RBR from the RB19 but let’s see

Hmmm, not sure if Marko really looked at any data. Only time that Bearman was sort of close to LeClerc was nearer the end, while Charles was being ultra conservative on tires.

Even then, 1/4 of a second slower can really add up.

Ferrari targeting several Red Bull aerodynamicists according to this article.

Trying to take advantage of the uncertainty with RBR.

I seriously doubt Ferrari were keen to get a super young driver with only a single 'reasonably good' F2 season under their belt a jump up to F1.

Keep in mind though that Ferrari would have all of his sim data(as would Haas) plus the 2 FP1 sessions. If he really impressed then, it doesn't matter totally how he did in F2.

We also saw in the pits around his father that everyone was supper happy with the kid which is a very good sign.

So what Pirelli's expert Simone Berra is saying - Ferrari wasn't stable and balanced enough in terms of using peak adhesive grip on Softs in Qualifying. They believed heating up the tyres would bring more performance so first time they spent two laps heating them up and as a result they reduced adhesive grip (by stripping the top layers of the tyre). Due to low mechanical grip and higher adhesive grip ratio on this track, Leclerc managed to have his best time even when tyres were not fully up to temperature by exploiting adhesive grip fully with the fresh tyre. This is a new level of insight we are getting! :D
Do you have any idea why certain teams "scrub" sets of tyres for the race such as AMR? You could see it in the Pirelli strategy graph of this race as well. What could be the possible advantages/disadvantages of doing so? To a non engineer like me it seems kind of counter intuitive but there has to be a reason why they keep doing it.

Ferrari needs to be extremely aggressive and bring upgrades in upcoming races if they want to catch RB. LEC needs to push all the time and not care about tire wear. Driving slowly to improve tire wear is just masking the issue.

If any of you watched Bearman's FP1 with Haas in Mexico you'd know exactly why he would have absolutely no issue with the transition into F1. He looked comfortable after 1 lap, already pushing the limits having the rear slide through high speed corners, and if I remember correctly only 0.15s of Hulkenburg on the performance run. Again onlyafter 1 session. Some just have the transition easier than others, regardless of how the junior career went.

This is exactly why he has been awarded with 6 FP1 sessions this season. They obviously see something there.
