Might just be enough to catch up towards the end and have a very interesting 2025!

This must be the most ambitious upgrade package in a long time for Ferrari.CaribouBread wrote: ↑11 Apr 2024, 13:13https://formu1a.uno/it/esclusiva-ferrar ... a-cardile/
Skimming through, article claims;
First of three planned "big" upgrade, comes to Imola which will include inverted sidepod inlets, changes to sidepod, floor, front wing and cockpit? deflectors.
I consider Mclaren's inlet to be a less extreme overbite - not the same thing, possibly not the same effect either obviously, but its an overbite for sure.
0.25 is a massive jump for a team that is already performing well. McLaren last year messed up people’s opinions of upgrades with their big jump. They only had a big jump because their base car was so bad.jumpingfish wrote: ↑11 Apr 2024, 18:31I'm very disappointed that these updates which took so long to prepare will only give 0.2-0.25s. I hope this is just a modest estimate and the real gain will be at least 0.4s.

How is it different to Ferrari in 2024? I think it's harsh to say this for either team.They only had a big jump because their base car was so bad.
Having the ability to actually be faster after your upgrades is something that fans take for granted . Teams are incredibly relieved when their correlation works, even if they are not the fastest team.
An in season upgrade will always be less significant than a winter one. The difference was that McLaren started last year with an absolute pig of a car that was near the back, they then bought a large upgrade and essentially got podium, but that was the plan, they put a lot of their time into that instead of having a car straight off. It’s a lot easier for the likes of Kick to find 2 tenths than it is red bull due to where they’re at. Red Bull consider a tenth a big upgrade because they’re nearest to the peak then everyone else.AR3-GP wrote: ↑11 Apr 2024, 18:42Joel709 wrote: ↑11 Apr 2024, 18:370.25 is a massive jump for a team that is already performing well. Ferrari didn't bring any performance upgrades last year. It was all just fixing, understanding, and compromising for a car which was not good in high speed corners knowing that they were developing a different concept for the next season.Joel709 wrote: ↑11 Apr 2024, 20:43An in season upgrade will always be less significant than a winter one. 0.25s of "pure usable" downforce is a huge jump.
