Got some info, here you go:

McLaren's bid to win its second consecutive race in Valencia this weekend will be boosted by a new front wing and rear floor - and the fact the team now believes KERS is a big benefit.

Team principal Martin Whitmarsh revealed on Wednesday that improvements brought to the car would be tried out separately by Lewis Hamilton and Heikki Kovalainen in first practice for the European GP.

"This coming weekend we have a new front wing system for the car to hopefully bring some more performance," said Whitmarsh during a 'Phone-in' media call on Wednesday.

"You will see that will be on one car in P1, with the new rear floor on the other car in P1...we need to back-to-back the new front wing and rear floor modifications, so by P2 both cars will have converged on the same specification."

I wonder how big the changes it will be if both cars will have them. So far this season, most teams have upgraded one car at a time.

So lets guess who gets which part? In the past Kovi has tested new front wings then reverted to the old. If front wings don't float his boat (because of his driving style?) then why get him to test them?

what you say is simply sad, your avatar by that explains alot.

Also Force India comes with new updates, renault does too(if im correct they even tested with a new diffuser). As a matter of fact, the whole field must be cheating if we have to believe you

even if mclaren shifts resources towards 2010 they are such a huge team that they can still contd to develop this yrs car.... and i am sure they will develop this years car
even if they think they can be at position 4 or even 3 in the constructors race they will go for it....

Could developing next year's car during this year be down to the budgetary constraints enforced (?) so that the cost shows up in 09's balance sheet rather than 10's?

Also, how feasible is running next years car during this championship?

Nope. First of all there's no exactly budgetary constraints, secondly you do expect any team to develop the car since 01.01.10 until Melbourne GP  ?

With 2010 tech regs being almost the same as this year it is feasible, but with 2010 dry weight limit of 620 kg and no refueling I don't expect that to be a good idea)))

I think what works this year, will work next year. Teams just have to squeeze in a fuel tank thats twice as big as their current one into roughly the same package.

Newey has said that the RB6 will be a evolution of this years car, and the aero tricks the teams learn this year should help them next year.

A lot of these updates were done before the Hungarian GP FYI. So just now in Valencia are they using them, since that's what they were planned for.

Updates are planned for in stages, they usually aren't done a week or two before the actual event.

You should read the news and act maturely before posting like that again.

How dare you accuse them of cheating? The time between Hungary & Valencia was 4 weeks long and the factories were only closed for two of those weeks, so they had plenty of time for updates. MAybe you should use more caution when calling certain teams cheaters!!!!

Anyone want to bless us with a translation of that video?

It's all a conspiracy

I thought the same thing when I saw that post.
