Maybe he can work from UK as Barnard did.Andres125sx wrote: ↑26 Apr 2024, 08:39Did Newey changed his opinion about not moving himself and his familiy outside UK?
His family situation changed significantly since 2012, look it up on wiki page or elsewhereAndres125sx wrote: ↑26 Apr 2024, 08:39Did Newey changed his opinion about not moving himself and his familiy outside UK?

Lewis beat Russel last year, do you think he forgot to drive in 2 months during winter time??TeamKoolGreen wrote: ↑26 Apr 2024, 03:04A peaky Newey car would fit Leclercs driving style perfectly. He would embarrass Hamilton.
In the max budget years , Rory Byrne actually beat Adrien Newey.
I think this does not play a role. He is not managing the technical team. So I guess already now he is doing basic R&D and works remotely.Andres125sx wrote: ↑26 Apr 2024, 08:39Did Newey changed his opinion about not moving himself and his familiy outside UK?
He'll have to prove that on track against Lewis. If he's got the chops to beat Lewis, then he'll remain number 1.TeamKoolGreen wrote: ↑26 Apr 2024, 03:07Umm Leclerc is still there. And is their #1 driver.taperoo2k wrote: ↑25 Apr 2024, 21:21Working with Lewis and helping him win another title might be what swings Newey towards Ferrari. I expect with this story coming out now, it won't be long til we find out if it's in fact correct and where he's headed. Red Bull's PR seems to be scrambling at the moment.Sphere3758 wrote: ↑25 Apr 2024, 20:02
Hamilton just moved from Mercedes to Ferrari. And Toto has been pleading Max to join Mercedes. I am not sure this logic stands
This. As much as having Newey would be great for rival teams, everyone else not having him as almost as good. If Ferrari has to wait until 2027 but can ensure he doesn’t work in RB’s 2026 car, I really think that’s a big win in itself.
Since he arrived in the team, he never had a single bit of #1 status even if he was and is quicker than his team mates both in Q and R trim. With Lewis in, equal treatment remains a sure thing in Ferrari.
