Ferrari SF-24

The summary is that it’s pretty complex and hard to guess what they do without some modelling.

Guesses are that they deal with tire squirt, probably send some vortexes to the diffuser to improve extraction like the mouse hole, as well as re-energize the flow coming from under the floor to improve extraction.

Floor sealing isn’t quite right otherwise you wouldn’t have slots in them and while you do want to prevent dirty air to go under, if you allow the right vortexes under the floor you will improve performance.

Might all be gibberish as my understanding is limited.

I think the RB20's front diffusor turning vane exits are further rearward than most to maximize the front downforce load and maintain a more balanced platform. They may also help with porpoising as well. But it is not a one-trick solution. Having it that rearward allows them to create a more efficient solution to keep the tire wake away. As a matter of fact (I think is one of the reasons they are able to maintain a good balance of high and low speed. I might be missing a few things but if I am right, it means less front-wing and rear-wing complexity, lots of air to feed the diffusor, and so on.

I think the new floor is to simply maximize floor extraction but also clean up the flow structures along the side.

What they have done now is make this a very independent piece of the floor by adding the goose neck supportat the rear.
The floor edge can ride on the ground and still have enough air gap between it and the main floor to prevent stall. The steel gooseneck hinges if you will can also take a lot of hammering over curbs and not distort the whole floor. Just rhe floor edge will ride the ground or curb and hinge upward or have some compliance; since im sure the supports arent moving hinges (the will allow movement though).
Ferrari seems to design it's edge blade as part of the floor(the old version, dating back to last year, even connected seamlessly to the rest of the floor), while others have as something you glue on to the floor.

The modification to the FW, now it has a small rise near the adjuster instead of a linear outwash drop.

I am curious about this too. My understanding was that they were going to introduce a completely new floor.

I think the changes on the floor are "implied" in the diffuser description with "upstream changes".

I think the description is backwards, old is new, new is old.

If I recall correctly, the halo is supplied by a third party, so it's unlikely something has changed.
