Another update that doesn't improve the car, or at least the team's position in relation to its opponents.

At this point, I will no longer be excited by any update news that promises any gains on lap time, unless it's a complete redesign.

Cold Q session strikes again Only Ferrari can take a step back on quick tyre heatup and end up facing half the Q sessions 10-15 degrees colder than usual

And with their luck of course, cold race tomorrow will help Mercedes survive the degradation... If there was a time to aim for a one-stop in Barcelona or use only S and M tyres, its tomorrow

Sainz and Leclerc's times were so close. Was anybody watching the on boards? Did they make any clear mistakes or was it the same tyre heating issue as always?

I think there is no advantage in race trim anymore. Pure pace deficit is too much too offset. Unless McLaren totally fumbles setup. Merc are wildcards who knows if they really found something. Afterall they managed too make work W13 here.

Actually Leclerc was super competitive in FP1 and Fp2 in Australia.

Anyway i think both him and Sainz won't be in the top 5 in Q3 tomorrow.

My prediction was almost perfect. Just didn’t account for Piastri disasterclass.

This car is not quick in Q3 compared to RB and McL outside some specific track conditions/layout. The problem is that Mercedes is there now so you start even lower on the grid.

Leclerc made a corrections in T5 on his last lap.

Leclerc also said that the Friday approach was far from ideal and that put him on the back foot for the WE, having to completely change the car from Friday to Saturday.
