I remember reading the only purpose of this flexi wing check at Spa is for the 2025 season, to learn how to better write the rules. They are happy with how the teams’ wings are now since they respect the 2024 rules alright. So no neefing expected.

We'll see, They also ran cameras in FP1 and 2 in Hungary so they must be gathering some information. Whether theres a in-season change we wont know yet. They arent scared to clamp down on these things in-season so dont be putting all your eggs in the "it wont happen" basket just yet.
Spa doesnt make consistently exciting races at all. It's a majestic track with tricky weather... Sometimes.. The last memorable race here was 2019? I think..
Yes last few years was not the best but.... overall is my favorite of them all.PlatinumZealot wrote: ↑25 Jul 2024, 03:31Spa doesnt make consistently exciting races at all. It's a majestic track with tricky weather... Sometimes.. The last memorable race here was 2019? I think..

Aerodynamic efficiency is at a premium here. McLaren has more peak downforce it seems but is also quite a bit slower in a straight line compared to Red Bull.erudite450 wrote: ↑24 Jul 2024, 16:48It's a high-speed front limited track like Silverstone. The weather is also unpredictable but mild so I expect Mercedes to be very close to McLaren possibly both ahead of Redbull.
No idea what to expect from Aston Martin.
Spa is similar to Silverstone in being high speed, front limited. Not sure I'd expect great things from Ferrari here.mkay wrote: ↑25 Jul 2024, 10:51Aerodynamic efficiency is at a premium here. Mercedes also can't seem to nail their low downforce package. I'd watch out for Ferrari, IMO.
Especially if they’re still bouncing.Matt2725 wrote: ↑25 Jul 2024, 13:36Spa is similar to Silverstone in being high speed, front limited. The limitation depends on temperature. If it's hot at Spa it becomes rear limitedMatt2725 wrote: ↑25 Jul 2024, 13:36Spa is similar to Silverstone in being high speed, front limited. .
Sure but it's looking like it'll be mild at best. Not looking to be a scorcher at least anyway.
