I am just now seeing what sainz did. It wasnt Ferrari’s fault but it is for them to finally say no to him.
And this comes 3 days after him saying he is team player

The car is underweight.

As far as I've seen there was a call form the box so not sure it was him forcing the team. Was there some communication that wasn't aired ?

Also I think whoever made a call for sainz to pit made the wrong one. He could have done one stop, not win but he could have been further up the road

I don't think it made that much of a difference guys. Yes, middle stint strategy could've been better for both cars to maximize (natural) podium chances, but the other 3 teams were much faster. Provided Leclerc still had the slow stop, it wouldn't have made a difference in the end. Do you really think Sainz would've been able to defend against Hamilton on those awful mediums?

Overall, lots to like from this race. Sure, we are far from dominant, but we can now contend. We can mix it up with the best. We are one (very successful ) upgrade from full competitiveness.

This seems like a bad faith interpretation. He wasn't good on the medium tires and he wanted to box because he felt like he was going to lose positions staying on them. Acting like he had some big conspiracy to make Leclerc's life harder is ridiculous.

I'm no Sainz fan but come on. There were far worse things in this race for Ferrari than Sainz wanting to pit early because the mediums were bad. The team should've just told him no, stay out, if they really wanted Sainz to defend.

Overall, lots to like from this race. Sure, we are far from dominant, but we can now contend. We can mix it up with the best. We are one (very successful ) upgrade from full competitiveness.

Yeah, this tbh. We lacked a bit of raw pace but are back within touching distance - seems like they have the issues under control but seemingly just not quite fully on the pace. It’s better performance than i expected and we scored more points than Red Bull + Charles out scored Max and Lando. Let’s hope they took a good lesson from the Spain upgrade (like Zanvort last year) and it enables them to make the next step change.

Other positive is that Lewis can clearly still run well at the front and manage stints - he might actually be a good compliment for Charles next year.
