Of course. Everything Lawrence has done in motor racing has been to get Lance to the top. This should not be news.Rikrikrik wrote: ↑14 Aug 2024, 01:00In my country some " columnists" are saying Newey is coming to AM to building a car for Lance and he will never leave, and the reason to sign with newey would be just give to Lance a better suit with the car, and Newey still will be "an one-driver guy" . What u guys think?
They all spent a ton of money.xReVo wrote: ↑13 Aug 2024, 23:30Redbull, McLaren and Williams were not Ferrari economically, despite this Newey dominateddiffuser wrote: ↑12 Aug 2024, 16:28
Well, the last time Adrian Newey changed teams was to RBR in 2006 and it took more than 3 years to start winning races. When he joined Williams in 91, Williams was already a dominate team. It was really only at McLaren that he turned the team around the year he got there and then started dominating in his 2nd year.
Something banned on the redbull must be honda fault ? what kind of logic is that .the only pu manufacture to stop mercedes domination is honda so they have already proven themself.redbull left renault to win championships and they had.the pu have been frozen so if mclaren are winning is because they made improvements to their car.the regulation are designed to make big performance spread between teams impossible so if redbull are plateauing its by design.ispano6 wrote: ↑14 Aug 2024, 03:01Irrelevant to the 2026 PU, really. McLaren in the 90s had pockets every bit as deep as Ferrari.xReVo wrote: ↑13 Aug 2024, 23:30Redbull, McLaren and Williams were not Ferrari economically, despite this Newey dominateddiffuser wrote: ↑12 Aug 2024, 16:28

Like what ? The ICE and MGU-H were already redesigned prior to STR and they were having a ton of problems ironing out the bugs.ispano6 wrote: ↑14 Aug 2024, 03:01Irrelevant to the 2026 PU, really. whatever the FIA did to redbull it probably had nothing to do with honda. more likely to do with asymetrical brakingOnEcRiTiCaL wrote: ↑13 Aug 2024, 18:01Newey a positive thing, but Honda I'm not sure, because we see that the Mercedes engine pretty damn good in the McLaren especially since when the FIA something banned on Redbull. Non of that is built by Honda. The block was also redesigned prior to leaving McLaren.ispano6 wrote: ↑15 Aug 2024, 22:46Layout of components to accommodate bodywork, cooling, suspension geometry and COG(center of mass) targets.
gearbox design may be able to be packaged differently or smaller and possibly some changes to some ancillary parts. idk how much honda changed between seasons after they swapped to the mercedes layout. (now i cant remember if honda builds the gearbox)
RBR build their own gearboxes and the connection from ICE to the gearbox has to be universal.
