Leclerc: "The SF-24 lacks overall performance, we don't have a specific problem. The updates that will arrive will make us take a step forward but until then we have to collect the maximum and lose as little as possible"
Good everywhere, not the best in anything. McLaren, Mercedes and Red Bull each have their specialty. McLaren medium speed, Mercedes low speed, Red Bull high speed.

Sainz: "We will have no updates here in Holland."
Nugnes failed again, as usual

I said with updates, anything can happen. If Ferrari had succeeded with the Spain update, they would have been on leading pace. It shows that they are only 1 update away. These cars are very sensitive.
McLaren is in another league.
I think Merc is a good example of how quickly things can change and how unpredictable the season can be, they started the season in no man's land being 4th fastest, too slow for the top 3, fast enough to keep everyone else well behind them. then they started getting poles, podiums and winning races, something i myself didnt see happening. Dont see why Ferrari cant do the same
McL just brought a significant upgrade by the way.

Are we hoping for a wet weekend? Seems like the current car issues might be somewhat diminished in wet conditions.

Although I think Merc and McL were clear in Silverstone in the wet.

Ferrari is definitely only hoping to at least stay ahead of Sauber, it's gonna be very hard not to finish the season as P10 in WCC. 2020 is gonna be a brilliant season compared to 2024, at least not make it as bad as 1980 [-o< [-o< [-o<
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

The car is usually terrible in wet conditions but who knows, it's a roulette at this point

Yes, I think that was due to the tyre temp issue. That seems to have been less of an issue recently. Only thought is they can run as low as they want in the wet as the speed is reduced, but you are right, absolute roulette.

If were are looking like fourth best, might as well root for chaos.

Fairs, lol.

I try not to overreact to practice sessions, but they ain't looking so hot. Leclerc was getting progressively more frustrated because of the traffic and the handling of the car, never a good sign. Sainz we don't even have data on because the car broke.

Losing 3-4 tenths at T8 alone... I have nothing to say. Maybe if there's mixed conditions on Sunday they can do something magical, but judging by Silverstone, that's not a very high chance.

Charles push was on softs that has done 1/2 of a push lap so probably not representative. P6 is looking best case, Perez is nowhere and got in Charles way twice. Race pace looked not miles behind when Charles was out of traffic. Race pace will look worse than it was because of Perez and later Ocon/Zhou.
