Massive gap to Sainz in a very easy track, like last year Friday.

Not a good look because last year he was trying to drive it like a car that turns
Spoke too soon?
Not really. Sainz almost lost the car in the last corner.
Hopefully they will find a better balance.

Leclerc is usually very very good at understanding if the car is great or not. Remember Spain?
Ferrari has been on pole and fought for the win here 2 years in a row with their "bad car". Now they have a car with no tire deg, quick on the straights, home race, hot weather, the Monza engine spec. There is nothing to be unhappy about at this point. A Ferrari will be on pole again. I'm happy to bet it and these two drivers don't let anyone pass in Monza without a fight, we have seen it before.

The car looks reasonably understeery in Monza and fairly stable in the high speed high radius stuff.

Higher engine modes for Ferrari on the first run, onboards looked quite stable to me though

I don’t think that’s indicative of engine mode but rather of aero load. In FP1 MCL had NOR at 348 as well for example.

No signs of bouncing. Which is nice.

Ferrari look competitive, and most importantly, both drivers have lots of time on the table still as they made some small errors and had to go around other cars.

Car looks better in FP2. Leclerc didn’t ask for more FW in the medium run which is a rare event lmao.

He asked for plus 2 after the first run on soft, but he is already very close to Sainz which is great.

Race pace looks good, especially considering the tires are 5 laps older than the others

Car has no bounce whatsoever and looks very soft on suspensions, finally Ferrari engineers listened to Sainz.

It's not 'out of touch' to consider that Mercedes are clearly a faster car at the moment. Are people really this small minded?
There have been plenty of well-argued discussions on this topic and it's not much use going on further if the other side keeps denying facts. No need to go on with personal insults, but feel free to. If you decide to accept facts, I'm happy to get back to f1technical-worthy discussion :)
certainly 1 or 2 good races doesn't mean the Ferrari is suddenly faster especially when its only performed at unique tracks like monza or Monaco.
You can easily flip that statement around to say that Mercedes having a few good races doesn't mean they are faster...
