What kind of secret is this that whole world knows about it    -
https://www.skysports.com/f1/news/12433 ... -bull-exit

Why don't AM make it official immediately??
From what Ive read, it is not allowed before September 6 due to a clause in his contract. Technically they could announce from that moment on but there's a press conference scheduled for September 10 so most expect that will be the day of the announcement.

I was thinking, the wind tunnel and the buildings should be almost finished by then (if not already), so imagine if they did it while the new buildings were inaugurated. That would be cool.

What will the 2026 car be called? Newey's revenge?
Where were you in 1998? It's Newey's revenge II. I vote for "The green monster" as the moniker.

no way max will join AM as his contact end at 2026 end. If JR Stroll still in the team by the time, I don't think Max have a place.

option 2: if Norris win the WDC this or next year, AM pull Norris and he is safe for JR Stroll instead of Max.

Max may end up with Mercedes as his father friend of Wolf or Even with Ferrari if Hamilton retire.

If car is good for AMR in 2026 Alonso may extend his contract till next rule change or till Newly contract expire or if Alonso feels he is not up to the mark in F1 and retire.

I don't see Max in AMR for near future....Even Max knows about it and he will not drive along with JR Stroll....

Let's hope this doesn't turn out like Porsche's Red Bull buyout. And if/when he does arrive, lets hope they put everything in place to use his knowledge and experience properly. Would be a shame to see such a talent wasted

Stroll and Norris have a bad history together. Norris hasn't been shy of taking pot shots at Stroll for his driving skills (or lack thereof) in the media either. That's not going to happen.

Why would AM go from Alonso to Max?
That's like going from a horse to a donkey.

sorry. I don't know they had one. I think it is not in F1 may be in F2 or F3.

But still my inner mind says that Max is not for AM if Stroll still there.....

I think Max end up in either Mercedes or Ferrari....not AM

The new wind tunnel is now ready to begin the necessary calibration weeks and will become fully operational from the beginning of 2025. [...] Once calibrated, the new tunnel will be used almost exclusively for the 2026 car

Duo Stroll Sr. and Newey.. I wonder how patient will Stroll Sr. be if Newey and his hiring doesn't deliver.
I think that question needs to be flipped. How long will newey be willing to stay at aston martin. I imagine for the rest of his career in f1 if they give him everything he wants. On the other hand, if newey (and his team) cant make them very competitive , i have my doubts about anyone else doing it.

In all probability, there is already some gardening leave in Newey's contract terms. He's terminating a contract early. There was speculation that RB would be willing to waive that in lieu of some compensation. This was all when Newey was rumoured to be going to Ferrari.
Newey has been on Gardening leave since March right? He has been working solely on RB17 since? No F1 work.
Yes. I believe outside of attending a few races, he was considered on gardening leave. But I believe it was till end of Q1 of 2025. Could be wrong. In all probability, he won't have much input on the 25 car. Almost certainly not for the first half of season. So can't see Newey joining translating to a winning car in 25.
Its hard to say. I think that he could have a dramatic influence on any upgrade paths they take next year (and the success of them). With the redbulls ive seen him mention how important getting the suspension right was with the ground effect cars in multiple interviews. If astons suspension is lacking, there may be a ceiling to what they can achieve. Unless he has some input on that before its designed. Lets look at the bright side, it cant be much worse.
