Lando longrun -> Stint 3 + 4
Oscar longrun -> Stint 4
Max -> Stint 4
Sergio -> Stint 3
And I am only including Carlos and Lewis here :
Carlos -> Stint 4
Lewis -> Stint 5
I believe these two tracks suit their car better, we will see. RBR locking back in the game tho....Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑13 Sep 2024, 15:55I dont count Ferrari yet. Monza like Monaco was an one off chance and that was mostly due to our drivers screwing each other.bauc wrote: ↑13 Sep 2024, 15:32Keep it calm please, this and next race are Ferrari's to looseDarth-Piekus wrote: ↑13 Sep 2024, 15:19So far the car seems to be struggling. Come on Mclaren, give us something.
Piastri really needs to have better qualifying if he doesn't want to get defacto #2 driver treatment. 13 to 4 isn't close.
Same goes for Lando's first laps.TeamKoolGreen wrote: ↑13 Sep 2024, 17:35Piastri really needs to have better qualifying if he doesn't want to get defacto #2 driver treatment. 13 to 4 isn't close.

It's where you finish on a Sunday that counts, as has been shown by both drivers.TeamKoolGreen wrote: ↑13 Sep 2024, 17:35Piastri really needs to have better qualifying if he doesn't want to get defacto #2 driver treatment. 13 to 4 isn't close.
When I see a line running so smooth but quicker, it makes me think they are just running to a slightly different delta.FittingMechanics wrote: ↑13 Sep 2024, 18:40I think this is it (from f1-tempo). Norris was 0.339 ahead with the gap increasing (lower downforce I guess).

With both drivers in the 1-2 they could easily give a DRS to each other and open the distance. At best Leclerc could have only passed Piastri.mwillems wrote: ↑13 Sep 2024, 18:37No.Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑13 Sep 2024, 15:55I dont count Ferrari yet. The Ferrari was about the same speed as Lando, a bit slower than Oscar. Lando was not driving off in the race from anyone.
Oscar was 5.5 seconds ahead of Leclerc in clean air. Oscar was faster than Lando, as it is fairly clear that being in dirty air actually had very little effect. Didn't matter what happened at T3/4, Leclerc would have still stayed close to both cars as he ably demonstrated in the race. This being the case, the defining moment was the strategy. T3/4 might not have happened, but Leclerc would have been following the Mclarens soon enough and we'd make the same mistake with tyres and we'd throw the race away again. It's not nice to come out second and third, but suggesting that we'd have made a big gap when it was hugely evident the Ferrari had the pace to stay with us is like suggesting the sky is green, simply because you don't like blue.Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑13 Sep 2024, 19:01With both drivers in the 1-2 they could easily give a DRS to each other and open the distance.
