Lando was told by his race engineer to slow down,
they say he wasn't, and as lando came in pits he told pits he had a yellow - that's when they apologised, saying "they shouldn't have done that"

Just looking at it again, it's so badly managed overall. Under no circumstance should they have allowed a situation where both drivers had to rely on the last laps of the session to get out of f*king Q1 with a top 3 car.
Who did get through on 1 lap?

I'm not sure because I've never seen something like this judged before in Formula 1.
Me neither...

He wasn't told to slow down. But he did lift a little. Mistake made shortly before was a reasonable time loss unfortunately and not related to Yellow Flags as far as I can see.

It seems linked though, as he had the yellow immediately prior to the corner. I think it's all one of the same.

Unfortunately not.

Sorry Ben, no yellow. He also takes the corner at full beans and it is clear he doesn't lift until 3 seconds after the corner. Unfortunately, he was not helped by the yellow and would have been fine without it. But the same goes for the mistake.

Sorry dude, he really has chalked another one up.

Have you met the drivers of the past? I mean have they ever visited the factory?

Golden years. We're thankful you're here, sorry for the unruliness of some here!

A sliver of good news is the new floor on the Red Bulls hasn't cured their problems, Max is complaining bitterly about the rear end. We knew Ferrari would be good here so it's game on still. Maybe the calls for Oscar to be a door mat will quieten down just a little bit....

Karun's explanation of the yellow flag

https://dubz.co/c/571a8d
Yellow flag went well before the corner 4 seconds after it went off, he get's the corner wrong and also lifts on the straight when he sees Ocon with no yellow flag.

I'm not sure that the yellow was the cause for the corner, I do expect him to still be able to make that corner. It's unfortunate, but he then lifts because he sees a slow car and puts the nail in the coffin.

Fair play for safety first, but I think he was very overcautious here and I think the mistake was genuine.

Not only this. Looking at the telemetry Lando has not lifted before the corner one bit and the mistake is clearly on his exit and the fact that he then lifted again.

I must have missed where Oscar left McLaren then.
Ignore list and report, please don't feed it, it encourages it.

Although, it is amusing to see my name pronounced with a German accent.
It's amazing how dumb you are to mistake Tomsk for Germany
I didn't, you put a spelt my name wrong and put a "v" in it

Mvillems, Emag, Geogate are not McLaren fans, they jerk off to Oscar.
Breaking my own advice here, but that one was too ironic to pass.
