Would Max have found 0.039 in the final sector if he nailed it?
If he did he could, if he didn't he wouldn't.
Point is, it doesn't really matter.
Plus for RBR is they were full well in the mix.

There's no way to predict this race, all I know is it's pretty darn close and top 5 can all win. Throw in VC's or SC's and everything gets messed up even more ..
Here's my prediction. Max will take the lead in T1 and sails off into the sunset. Lando puts up a fight against Sainz, but loses out in the end. Leclerc will be the only driver doing the one-stop strategy and jumps both Lando and Sainz. Piastri just minds his own business and doesn't bother anyone. Final result: VER, LEC, SAI, NOR, PIA.

Tires left for today, based on a mixture of my notes and the strategy guide:

Alonso, Bottas and Zhou didn't use their 2nd set of new mediums in any official session, so I just assumed it was "used" for 1 lap to get to the grid of the sprint race.

Pirelli's strategy suggestions:

If degs higher than expected, a used hard might be a bonus for Red Bull. With everyone else tied to 2 mediums

If the Ferrari is any good on the hards Verstappen will have a very hard time. They spent so much time fighting each other, Russell and Norris in the sprint and Sainz still finished like 4 seconds behind. They were very comfortable on those mediums.

I do expect the Ferraris to split their strategy with Leclerc going M-H and Sainz going M-H-M.

My prediction. Ferrari taking the win with Sainz and Lando in second, Max in third.

My prediction is: first lap collision between Max and Sainz and Max and Sainz is out of the race then Norris win the race in first place.

Funny thing is, I have been hearing about these first lap collision predictions so frequenlty for 3 seasons now, as if it happens in every other race. Whereas if my memory serves right, we have seen 2 first lap incidents causing retirements. One in 2022 US GP and the other one was 2023 Qatar GP. Not sure if we have seen more! :D

Why is no one talking about Gasly who is set to start P7 ?
The fastest non-big4 team driver. With the weakest engine on the grid.
Must have been a spectacular Q3 lap.

I think you are underestimating the capacity of Lewis to climb through the field and win this one.
