This guy Colapinto is genuinely good. Another excellent race by him to finish in the top 10

It helps a lot when you have the stewards advantaging you and let you do shady moves on track. He's a great driver, but very unfair racer. Always been, always will be.
He put on a defensive clinic today, textbook driving with a large pace and tyre disadvantage
Sure, but also gaining a big advantage first corner by going off the track and getting no penalty for it, while his rival got the penalty for it by being forced off the track while passing. Verstappen is a great driver, but let's not deny the reality, he's disrespectful on track and stewards apply rules differently for him. It's a sad time for F1.
Verstappen is almost certainly the best driver to ever compete in Formula 1. I feel sad for the people who can't enjoy his greatness because he beat their driver nearly half a decade ago

Not really, better car yes but worse driver. Max beats them all pure talent.
The pure talent has gone 9 races winless in car fast enough to win and can only stay ahead by doing dodgy maneuvers and pushing everyone off the track! Wow what a proud moment to be a Verstapen fan…

If that was the 2008 FIA-Hamilton relationship…Verstapen would have been banned for life!
It's no small feat to be leading the championship by miles while driving the third fastest car. Unprecedented really
You got pole and win in the Sprint and only lost pole im the main race because of Russell!

I’ve never known a “3rd fastest car” doing such things! It’s still fast enough to win! But there’s competition this time around…

Overtaking off the track has always been a penalty
Norris was deliberately shoved off the track by Verstappen who also went off. Not exactly the first time he’s got away his with defend or die attitude either
Did Norris attempt to make the corner? He went extremely deep while divebombing, that had to have been a big factor in the stewards decision. They have access to the telemetry
That was no Norris divebomb. Max actually was more guilty of a divebomb. That is his specialty, not dissimilar to Brazil 21. Honestly the stewards should have stayed out of it. Max clearly drove him off the track so they should have let them race. Awful stewarding all around today.

Two things can be true at the same time.
1. It was a defensive clinic. 2. The rules are --- he pushed a driver off and the other driver isn't allowed to do anything about it.

Two facts. Maybe you’re getting overly defensive about your driver?

How is Norris supposed to make the corner with max divebombing him wide?

He is squeezing everything out of his car and pushing the rules to the absolute edge. It's nothing only admirable.

My driver won the race today but I certainly appreciate Verstappen on the track. I just want one season of Leclerc and Verstappen going at it like the first half of 2022.

Rewatched the pass a couple of times: I don't think Norris was ever going to make the corner with braking so late, he would have left the track even with Verstappen not being there. He had way too much speed. Verstappen didn't really leave the track, he was on the carbs still with 2 wheels. I find it a difficult one to judge.

that H-M strategy looked like quite an advantage today, but still, good performance indeed.

Verstappen did what Norris did to Carlos in lap one but that wasn't even looked at because i guess "first lap insident" bs... Great driver or not the guy is a menace, someone has to think twice or thrice before trying to ovetake him...It was always clear how would that battle will end up.

Of course it was a divebomb. Verstappen did one too!

Got to agree F1 and FIA are pathetic at managing the sport.
We need a much more 'neutral' race management. There should be opportunity for automatic DQ, and variable penalties that actually penalise those who transgress.

At end of the day I think that the stewards (as a group) are as much at fault as they are not 'up to scratch' as their decisions are variable as the stewards are changed race to race.

Also the process of arbitration of 'rule bending' is not penalised effectively. If you have non-compliant or dodgy parts then your team is DQed for that and possibly for the previous race or races (however many races that part was in place)!

I am guessing Disney stepped in and filed a trademark threat against the "Mickey" trophies, Pirelli took down all references from their website as well..
