Unfortunately, neither showed enough reasons to keep them these last two seasons. While 2022 was very good for both, Vasseur's departure seems to have struck everyone in the team and poor results always kill the will to race...

Nice to see another new face next year with Bortoleto, sensational amount of changes and young guns on the grid next year.
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

So Bortoleto will race against his manager? ๐Ÿ˜€ (Alonso). Is this the first time driver raced against his manager?

After 2024 keeping the entire grid unchanged(at least to begin the season) we are getting so much new stuff.
Well deserved for Gabriel, he has been a really good rookie in F2(also F3 in 2023).

This is so strange of Bottas. Saying no to one year at Sauber but yes to being a reserve driver next to Toto in the garage? What?

According to some outlets, Bottas had agreed terms and was waiting for Audi to say yes or no. Apparently he was their 2nd choice if they couldn't get Bortaletto.

BTW, who else found it funny that McLaren almost spoiled the announcement by posting that they had released Bortaletto from his contract with them shortly after Sauber announced they were letting both drivers go but BEFORE they announced his signing ๐Ÿ˜‚
If I come across as blunt, I apologise, it's my ASD. Sometimes, like an F1 car aqua-planing, it gets out of my control.

Bearman and Colapinto started something, for the better.

I'm not a fan of continuously hunting the next young superstar, but the grid was becoming stale with drivers who have been there a decade or more and just making up the numbers at the back.

Absolutely love Valterri, but moving from a race winning outfit to stone last should be a sign that it's time to move along.

I don't get why he had to be so strict about the multi-year deal. I would understand if he were going racing in other series, but his backup plan is being a shoulder parrot with Mick in the Merc's garage. I think this strict multi-year request also shut the doors to other teams. He misjudged his market value.

Looks like this team is going to be Qatar owned, and likely a substantial portion, due to VAG's economic woes.

The significance of this is overplayed by the media. Oil money runs through probably half the teams on the grid, and has done for nearly 50 years.

Mercedes only own 1/3rd of their own team, and nobody batted an eyelid.

I bet they put some sort of branding on the car. Qatar Air maybe?
