You'd have thought Toto was talking about himself, given Lewis has multiple wins this year
At this point, the guy is just digging his hole deeper and deeper. It's not even amusing any more, just sad...
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

.
Conspiracy theory at best.

Car designers don't know what they're doing.

Mechanics/engineers can't set up the car and/or keep building parts of it incorrectly on one of their cars and forcing pit lane starts.(George better hope they're not doing his car next year!)

Team principal has basically been irrelevant for years.

Current lead driver can only barely manage to beat Lewis in his worst ever year in F1.

Hoping for a rookie to replace Lewis.

Not looking good for Mercs shelf life, tbh.
Bang on.

It’s been crumbling all around Toto for a long time now. Shame it’s come to this conclusion.

Yet, he paid no attention to Sainz.

Toto saying Sainz sr tipped him off on the Lewis to Ferrari move. Toto seems a bit salty
"The old man Sainz called me and said this is what’s happening. Then there were a few drivers that rang me up that didn’t before. (I) sent a text to Fred Vasseur saying ‘you’re taking our driver?’ (and) I didn’t get any response, very unusual for Fred. He’s a good friend."

That's some next level fact twisting, Lewis told him after a few days he signed and more than a year in advance in practice. He was never getting Leclerc or Norris

Torger Christian Wolff opens up on the 1+1 contract, says "Everyone has a shelf-life":
I like the situation (Lewis leaving for Ferrari). It helps us because it avoids the moment where we need to tell the sport’s most iconic driver that we want to stop.

There’s a reason why we only signed a one-plus-one-year contract. We’re in a sport where cognitive sharpness is extremely important, and I believe everyone has a shelf life. So I need to look at the next generation.”

It’s the same in football. Managers like Sir Alex Ferguson or Pep Guardiola. They anticipated it in the performance of their top stars and brought in junior players that drove the team for the next years.

"Cognitive sharpness" and "shelf life", I'm sure those went over well on the socials.

TBF, the pettiness has gone both ways for a while now. Lewis knows how to subtly pour fuel on various fan theories without ever being explicit about it.

May 2023:
“Naturally, when you are in contract negotiations there will always be speculation and ultimately unless you hear it from me then that’s what it is,” he said. “My team is working closely behind the scenes with Toto and we are almost at the end of having the contract ready.”

Hamilton answered with a blunt and unhesitant “no” when asked if he had been approached by Ferrari. He also rejected suggestions that Mercedes’ poor form in the past two seasons was playing a part in his decision-making process.

Where does Toto need Leclerc or Norris when he has Mick, something that other teams are missing out on?

I recall Xpensive(RIP) and Segendum saying the same thing in 2012.

I must have missed out on Hamilton driving for Ferrari since January 2024... Could have sworn it's January 2025

What is the relevance of this in relation to the contract renewals of Norris and Leclerc.

Torger who?
Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.
