According to Duchessa:

Vasseur just spoke to the drivers but the situation was no longer tense.

They agree they need to analyze the race dynamics in a professional way, especially because they are going to race immediately in Qatar and Ferrari needs to continue cutting the gap to McLaren.
As a reminder, I'm just sharing what journalists and the team says. Me posting these is not a statement on whether I agree or disagree...

The idea that he wanted to get out of Charles way, when he kept Max in his DRS to block Charles from attacking him, has me feeling like he's trying to take us all for idiots.
Apart from everything that happened in the race, that was the scummiest behavior which I have seen so far. Good riddance that he wont race in Ferarri anymore and no more ties with that family of his. As everyone said even long time before, no other top wants him and for good reason. A good driver, for the midfield.

I looked up his pace and it doesn't look like he was pulling back on purpose.

Carlos was even waving on the straights to break tow.

I do not understand the hate on Sainz. What should he have done when Charles ate his tyres? Sink with him? Nonsense!

He should have obeyed the team's order and not overtake Charles after the second pitstop, and let Charles pass immediately before that pit as soon as he got the order.

He switched to lower PU mode right after he overtook Max (unlike Leclerc), losing 3 tenths on straights alone every lap for the next 3-4 laps. He was inconsistent in corners, so I can't say for sure he slowed down in corners as well, even he did lose some more time in a few corners as well even in free air.

On the other hand, you can see how Leclerc is clearly quicker in corners while in free air (red, green and purple laps) and how he lost time in T14 due to DRS, just one example.

And they call it a stall. A STALL!

Looks more like the DRS effect to me.

But then why wasn't there a drop in tempo? He was going low 36 and continued after overtaking Max.
And did he lower the power himself, or did Adami tell him to?

I think there would have been less drama if they had committed to 2 stops from early on. In the radio I heard lot of doubts and even in 2nd stint Bryn was implying they think plan A but considering plan B etc so they were not fully committed to 2 stop.. Ferrari still sometime bad at adapting quickly to changes I feel.

Last I checked, 36.3s is 0.3s slower than 36.0s. His laptimes were going down steadily when he was chasing Max, got up in those crucial 3-4 laps and plateaued there. Later tyres dropped off at the same time for both Ferrari drivers

I don't think anyone can blame Ferrari wall for how first stint unfolded and how they lost time there. Mediums were dead within 5-6 laps for them, it never happend before. Every team planned one stop and they all had to recalculate everything all the time after seeing how that first stint went, not even Mercedes could hope to do a one-stop in the end

Bad management from both the drivers and the team. A double podium was perfectly possible.

Vasseur

We limited the damage, but we should have scored more points than the others and not just limited the damage. We scored 12 points more than McLaren, maybe 17 or 15 more than Red Bull. That was probably the best we could do because Mercedes flew from start to finish. We'll see next week.

At one point in the first stint both drivers wanted to come back. At the beginning we wanted to stretch and it was a bad decision to stay on track, and we paid for it at the end of the race. We argued with Carlos to stay on track and we missed the pit stop. It was a very difficult race for the drivers, they are under pressure in these conditions and it is very frustrating to lose two seconds per lap because of the graining. You have to understand them.
This is the most accurate thing, we put when Sainz asks we maybe finish 2-3 or 2-4, Hamilton had no answer for the Ferrari speed on the straights.

You also have to take into account the battery charge and that the tires may have gone out of the window a little bit, or maybe a simple mistake.

I mean why did he do 35.8 on lap 44 before Charles overtook Max?
After all, he first drove 36.5, then 36.1 and 0 (drs + battery to catch up and overtake Max in the dirty air), and then a few laps later 36.2 and 3 and 35.8. Do not you think that the drop in pace from 36.5 to 36.0 was not natural and there were other reasons?

I am going out on a limb and claiming that it's going to be worse in 2025, with Lewis. He is not naive like LeClerc when it comes to following team agreements - neither will he obediently follow nor will he hesitate to tell the team 'ask him not to fight' over his radio.
