Prop's to Fred. That was a very well managed, and driven race.

I heard on a couple of occasions them asking him to input some commands but I didn't think it was some command to reset something. Didn't sound like it.Sedaxel wrote: ↑01 Dec 2024, 21:14He said this after the race:diffuser wrote: ↑01 Dec 2024, 19:42He can blame whoever he wants but he f*cked up. On the first lap, on the last curve, he gave it too much beans and got wheel spin. Then he was a sitting duck. His top speed was slow cause of the wheel spin, then having to come off the throttle to regain control of the car. He then further compounded the issue by trying to make up for his mistake, carrying too much speed into turn 12 and going wide. Which then resulted in taking another lap to clean up his tires. He was perfect after that though.
Tu sum up, it seems like last year, in the first laps or after a safety, sometimes happened that the car didn't get all working accordingly for a little while. The team thought it was already solved, but today happend again in the re-start, losing some positions.
RBR wanted him, in the end, he decided to stay at Aston. It was his choice in the spring 2024 to stay at Aston.Big Gun wrote: ↑02 Dec 2024, 20:092025 is gunna be such a waste of his talent. I was a hater of Alonso, but seeing someone with so much talent missing out year after year because of his machinery, just seems wrong?
He should have at least 4 or 5 championships and 60 plus race wins.
know it wont happen but could he be loaned to RBR for 2025 and then return to Aston? I guess politicaly it would never work, plus Max would Veto it
At the end if we look statically, Alonso was 8 points away of being a 5-times World Champion. It is easy to speculate now on potential change of a team.Big Gun wrote: ↑02 Dec 2024, 20:092025 is gunna be such a waste of his talent. I have more hope about 2025, i dont believe next year will be worse than this year. We will have more people ( Cardille, Newey, etc.) New driver simulator is online already and WT maybe next month. AMR25 will not be project by Fallows anymore. I think 2025 will be better than 2024. Aston used the Hungary Floor in Qatar and that floor never delivered results, the new driver simulator improved their setup for that floor and qatar, and this never happend before. and the performance in Qatar was good comparing last few races, where AMR should had suffer a lot with the understeerBig Gun wrote: ↑02 Dec 2024, 20:092025 is gunna be such a waste of his talent. Where is your source that said the driver simulator improved the setup for Qatar? The initial setup was wrong and the team made setup changes after the sprint.Rikrikrik wrote: ↑03 Dec 2024, 00:39I have more hope about 2025, i dont believe next year will be worse than this year. Yes, because of that fact. Mike Krack said in the interview, the drive simulator runned in the night and suggested some changes and those changes was good. De La Rosa said in november the new drive simulator was recentely started.TyreSlip wrote: ↑03 Dec 2024, 00:41Where is your source that said the driver simulator improved the setup for Qatar?
