Lewis like a pointy car. He lives with instability just fine. The problem is that the stability with this car is not predictable. A unicycle is unstable. A unicycle with spokes that changing length and stiffness with wind direction and temperature changes is also unstable, but not any more so. The problem is the behavior of the unicycle is now abnormal. It's not something you can "adapt" to. Your style is either tolerant of it or not.

Pretty much what you said
Hamilton admits that he was at war with these cars from the outset because his driving style is not compatible with them. Braking and turning in at the same time is only possible to a limited extent. If you drive too aggressively, you pay for it. The peculiarity of the Mercedes that it quickly lost downforce at the rear when the front wheels were turned in didn't help either. “I can actually live with oversteer, but not with one that comes out of nowhere.”

George is ready to lead the team now. Lewis sensei did well in training and developing him.

Crazy how Lewis utterly destroyed Russell in 2023 and just barely missed out on P2 of the WDC. Geez, what happened. tbf, HAM still beat RUS in total points as teammates, continuing that ongoing record against teammates of his.

Bravo to Russell improving -- he is making less mistakes finally. He still isn't as superior to Lewis in races but he will obviously get better over time. Lewis car still looks crazy unpredictable during his onboards. It seems when the car is predictable he is back to his normal total domination self.

Should be fun to see how Antonelli and Russell get along. Saw some quote that ANT thinks RUS is a d--k, and unsurprisingly loves HAM.

Nobody get along Russell, can only hope Anton destroys him. Russell is a d—k and Lewis could have easily destroyed him but Max beating him kinda ended him.

Russell was the first teammate to beat Hamilton twice. He was also the first teammate to get more poles and wins than Hamilton.

The total points; we all know why Hamilton got a few more than Russell (Belgian win DSQ).

Almost every driver on the grid can achieve a great result with a predictable car. Getting results with a difficult one sets drivers apart.
If i would get the money to start my own F1 team, i would revive Arrows

both had DSQs . I dont know who had more during the last 3 seasons. Hamilton last year lastvegas DSQ was similar to Russels DSQ this year

That's right. The most dominant dynasty Merc 2014-2020. Those peace of arts went like train in rails. Even Merc's reserve driver could drive that car straight on the way to victory (Sakhir 2020) which is unheard.

Still you have the haters coming out and crapping on what Lewis has achieved with Merc. Unbelievable, He is firmly in the past now, just get over it because im so sick of people in kimi avatars being toxic . GR has proved to alot of people he can lead this team to race wins and hopefully championships, he's the only one on the grid (apart from Leclerc) that would hold his own against max if there cars are eventually even. Watch this space. Antonelli won't touch him throughout the season imo. He will be quick here and there but George's one lap pace is brutal so will start ahead of him a majority of the times.

P.S thanks mods for banning my account for sticking up to Lewis's race baiters btw. If i was you i would lock the thread until the new season.

Lasssept knew what he was doing by posting that graphic from X. Purely fishing, and someone bit.

Even when Lewis is gone, this sad thread has to resort to the same crap. He will always live rent free.

Good Lord, that explains a lot. A racecar should never have unpredictable oversteer while it's trailbraking. No matter how you adjust your driving style, that car is gonna be slower than a balanced car.

I also don't think ALL the post 2022 car exhibit that behavior. Look at Max. He brakes earlier than Lewis, but he's still quite late on the brakes (barring the last ten or so races)

Nah Lasssept has been displaying stats throughout the season, i wouldn't come for him. Im on about the people who have no intentions to bring a sensible discussion instead you have a bunch of people being unnecessarily toxic and thats after a warning from the mods. Unbelievable that they can ban people calling out posters but allow the perpetrators to continue to dilute the bloody thread. Theres a few others who bring healthy debates and ive engaged with a few of them talking about Lewis's TECHNICAL struggles. Thats what this forum should be about not this ridiculous baiting (Yes even those coming for GR)

This is a new era of Merc so i wish Russell and Antonelli the best, even as a Lewis fan im intrigued to see what happens at this team. Russell raised his A-game this season after a ropey 23. His race pace has improved and his one lap pace even more so. What i appreciate more is the respect he's shown for Lewis. The picture of him as a kid floating around with a 20 something Hamilton is crazy. Made a tribute Helmet and has been vocal about the AD21 fiasco.

Its him and Verstappen thats the next big blockbuster imo. Russell ain't afraid of his tactics and is outspoken in the same vain as Verstappen is. Russell's wheel to wheel aggression is impressive aswell and will annoy Max. If there respective cars are close next year then expect fireworks. Hopefully the off season for Merc is a positive one. Not sure if they can remedy there rear end issues without hampering 2026 but that will be revealed.
