Read on X that the team is fully focused on the rear axle of the car and possibly changing the front suspension layout. Can’t wait to see what the 2025 challenger will look like. Will it be silver? black? Or both! =D>
Silver and looking like a McLaren

It wouldn't be a bad idea to buy the McLaren gearbox etc .... as it's so well integrated with their own engine.

I'm sure Mercedes has way too much pride to do something like that.

So it's "conspiracy theories" when Lewis suddenly isn't fast at all the year he announces he's leaving or when its literally made public hes doing all the experiments for years, but not the one time we really hear about George testing different parts and how that could affect his pace?
I will take the bullet for my team and teammate and sacrifice my season—said no racing driver. Lewis has had difficult struggles with the cars, and we have heard when he has done testing, but in reality, they both did experiments. George did testing in Abu Dhabi that benefits him for next season, and maybe Lewis did more experiments at the beginning of the seasons to benefit himself with the bad car.

They both tested and experimented.
They both took the hit or reward for when they did.
The same will be true at Ferrari.

No surprise. We have eyes, and could see it for ourselves. We don’t need telling.

So why do we only hear about Lewis's experiments? It's like an experiment propaganda campaign from the Lewis camp.

It's on rwcord ghat Lewis was the main tester of new parts and setups. It's nothing new and something he did previously and Mercedes and McLaren. He's like the mechanics of the cars.

Recall that McLaren special when they gave Button and Lewis tools and they were to work on the car? Button was totally lost, didn't even know a spanner from a socket, and Lewis on the other hand looked very comfortable wrenching away at the gearbox.

I think George is sorta like Button. Two pretty boys who are politacally astute but not necessarily deep when it comes to mechanical/engineering aspects of the car.

Explains why Mercedes definitely had to call Valterri back to keep the whole team afloat when it comes to driver feedback for sets ups and sim work.

So basically, Lewis is a test driver when he isn't winning championships.

There are restricrions on the amount of track testing teams can do, in case you missed it.

Yes, I know. And I also know that every driver does some testing on race weekends, not just Lewis.

We keep hearing Lewis is slow. How do we know he is any slower/faster than he ever was? All we know is the driver in the other car is at least (apparently) equal.
When arguing with a fool, be sure the other person is not doing the same thing.

Ok. Not sure how Lewis doing several experiements in the last three years - as confirmed by Wolff and Shovlin - chronically bothers you, but it's okay if you believe that George did the same amount.... I guess... :?

Why are you desperately clinging onto the possibility that Lewis was not being matched / beaten on merit? Is it not plausible that the underachievement comes due to his age? His performance should be expected to drop. It has. We don't need all these conspiracy theories to explain something simple. Lewis was also matched closely in the past by the likes of Rosberg and Button - quite plausible that Russell is of that ilk

There are multiple quotes about George doing experiments too, just to rebut your specific point. And this is despite there being no reason for George or team members to be searching for ways to defend him in the media as his own performance was not under scrutiny

Wouldn’t be surprised the team will be sold in 2026 if they are again performing less than McLaren. And MR Russell has zero PR value, but hopefully Kimi can takes his place quickly.

Can you lot run off to the Ferrari thread already? Season's over.

Back to reality, the team isn't going to be sold, not with the reg change coming up.
