Interesting development, according to AutoRacer : Dan Fallows has been transferred to Aston automotive division, making his departure from F1 world.

Looks that it is his choice to stay at Aston.
Honestly, I trust Amus more, so I don't take this news into consideration much.

I've noted quite a few misses already from AMuS. Autoracer (Formu1a.uno), very little. According to my own notes at least

Think that's what you call a guaranteed contract. They have to pay him the 1 million pounds for the duration of the contract. Moving him to technologies just takes the contract off of the F1 books. Although, Lawrence does that alot with the people that have worked for him.

No, they said in 2023 that they will only put the new (2024) model in the updated Woking tunnel.

Correct that is what they said in 23 but as I said above, at the 24 launch they said the new car was still designed in the old WT.
Yes, but they never put the old model (23) into the updated tunnel. That’s what I wanted to say.

Seeing Fallows LinkedIn profile, thanks to the mention here, he works for AMPT. Not F1, but also not Automotive (different company). He doesn’t count for the cap, but can remain his salary. Win, win.

We don't know if Fallows is happy there, or if it's similar to what happened at Red Bull.
Before his move to Aston Martin he was moved away from F1 to RBAT, but that was not what he wanted.

"L’arrivo di Enrico Cardile in Aston Martin, secondo quanto appreso da AutoRacer.it, avverrà molto presto, ossia tra pochi giorni, a gennaio, quindi ancor prima dell’insediamento di Adrian Newey che è impegnato nel lungo periodo di gardening che lo vede legato alla squadra di Milton Keynes."

"La nuova galleria del vento del team di Silverstone sarà operativa a partire intorno a febbraio e sarà utilizzata per la monoposto 2026"

The same article is saying, Cardile is set to start in the coming days. The WT will be operative in February and will be used for the 2026 car.

Merry Christmas to everyone !

They have an alliance, not under.

If he leaves, I doudt he'll get paid TD $$$$ that he's still making at Technologies. So that may influence what he does.

Besides that, Fallows knows he will never get a technical director role with any other team.

Maybe Fallows is somebody like Matt Harman (former TD at Alpine). Very good in "his" part of F1-Engineering (in Fallows' case Aero), but failed when responsible for the whole car.

Well, he won’t be happy, as he was demoted. Simple as that. But as long as he has a valid contract with Aston, at least he get paid „big money“.

honestly this is probably the best situation for fallows after he was "let go". hes still under contract (getting paid), but being out of the f1 team probably means that hes also serving any gardening leave he has too. after his contract is up, if he wants, he can find work in f1 elsewhere pretty fast. unless they are being shady with their salary cap employees

Merry green Christmas! Let's hope 2024 was the big low and it all goes up from here :)

Cardile in a few days, tunnel in February and Newey in March. 2025 has to show improvement, for once.
