Unfortunately there's been a change in the forum rating a couple of years ago. Positive rating only possible in e.g. car threads.

Doesnt say where he is going, but confirmed like you mentioned. A pity. He has been such a familiar face in the mclaren garage for so many years

Hiroshi Imai a key and tyre/brake engineer known as the "tyre whisperer" is leaving mclaren next month, after 15 years. His speciality was tyre performance with car dynamics for 15 years.
Looks like he is going back to Japan to pursue a new role in motorsport rather than joining a rival F1 team.

Yes for their test or support team, not racing team. Sounds like a nice relaxed role with family time also posible

In terms of departures, Tom McCullough is no longer involved with the F1 team but remains within the group, similar to Dan Fallows previously . most likely AMPT

Thats in affect showing them the door. Their experience and passion is F1 so rather than pay them for sacking them they move them to "other outside F1 projects". Basically Tom and Dan need to look for another F1 job. Most F1 contracts state they can be moved "within the company [not just F1]"

I'm not kidding, he now does consultancy of some sort and has confirmed he's working for Audi F1 via linkedin. Quite an odd colaboration.
