I doudt it would work very well with the current sidepods and floor entry and floor gates.
It's a silly suggestion. Sounds like a troll.
In 2023 Pierre Waché called out the flexi wing of Aston and Mercedes and said it would bring no benefit. Went as far as to say that front wing has a very diminished role in the GE tunnel regulationions

Aston had a good performing car with quiet exceptional performance at low speed while still having good high speed performance.
FIA asked Aston to change the design after the Baku GP. All updates on the car could never bring the balance to the car through the varying corner speeds. TD018 was brought in a little later and officially ruled against flexi wings
In 2024 Mclaren and Mercedes continued these same flexi front wings, but this time with FOM calling for more competition FIA never investigated flexi wings
Pierre Waché now feels the flexi wing concept is allowing other cars to have a better balance and better kerb riding performance.

Doesn't matter, TD018 was clarified because of it, and the wing used a hinge like device to deflect in 2 directions, which is illegal.
I honestly have my doubts that AM will miss Fallows to create a flexible front wing. There are technicians from Dan's time still at AM where they surely have the skills to do it, I don't think this aspect depends only on Bob Bell. Also the recent technical additions will have something to say about it after the experience in their former teams.Waz wrote: ↑18 Jan 2025, 17:36Doesn't matter, TD018 was clarified because of it, and the wing used a hinge like device to deflect in 2 directions, which is illegal.
If Fallows was still around, I would fully expect them to find a legal way to achieve that now the FIA are turning a blind eye. With Bob Bell having done most of the technical leadership on this car until recently, I don't know what to expect.
Without flexi front wing though, it will be nearly impossible to compete at the front.
As the video from Silverstone shows, they had a flexi front wing in 2024.Waz wrote: ↑18 Jan 2025, 17:36Doesn't matter, TD018 was clarified because of it, and the wing used a hinge like device to deflect in 2 directions, which is illegal.

Thats interesting. Both Toto and Russell have said very optimistic things about their PU. Them and Ferrari are by far the most advanced in terms of development of the new PU. Another point of reference that supports it the fact that Alpine chose to go with Mercedes as their supplier.KimiRai wrote: ↑20 Jan 2025, 03:44Nugnes (pinch of salt) says Aston does not want to put the 2026 model into the Mercedes wind tunnel, they are waiting for the new one to be finished which is late in the calibration phase. I don't agree with him on that, I think Max will eventually come to Aston. I could be wrong though, of course.peewon wrote: ↑20 Jan 2025, 14:06Thats interesting. Them and ferrari are the most advance in terms of developments?can you explain how you came to that conclusion,or just because those 2 have have high opinion of their brands then they must be all great and wonderful.japanese companies leads in hybrid and toyota are the best in wec .the tech will be similar to wec.KimiRai wrote: ↑20 Jan 2025, 14:44I don't agree with him on that, I think Max will eventually come to Aston.
