Worth noting - SF24 will be driven during Pirelli test for 2026 tyres with different width than current tyres

It will at least give him a run in the '24 car. Might not be representative, but it's better than only getting a run in the '23 car using non race tyres.

Good morning everyone. Do we know if Leclerc is also doing the Pirelli test or is it just Hamilton?

Lewis doesn’t need it anyway. The official winter test should be more than enough for a driver of his calibre and experience to get up to speed.

All of this hype seems way over the top for a 40 year old athlete.

Realistically, they're all going to be better than that shocker W13

It wasn't that long ago when a 42-year old Alonso delivered when the car was there :)

Problem for Lewis is he has a Leclerc next to him instead of a Stroll. It will certainly be more difficult. But also more rewarding if successful, if you look at it that way...

What's interesting about all sports at the moment is the mentality problem.

There could be multiple reasons for it but there's a mental fragility there with most younger athletes.

Lewis as long as he has a sniff is built for a title challenge. He's always gone off when the car isn't there throughout his career but when it is..... he's a different animal.

Age will be a factor in qualifying but he makes it up in consistency and race pace if there's a chance. But he's looked after himself and the age top-level athletes compete is getting older and older. Especially those who rely not only on physical qualities but also on mental ones.

Another factor that won't play a part next year but could be the following is how the cars handle. The current cars in no way suit his peak driving style or attributes..... If that changes for 26/27 we could see the make-up of the grid change as young drivers have to adapt.

Lewis has always had strong teammates. So he's used to it. I think he enjoys it. Keeps him alert and excited.

I agree and for Leclrec he could learn a lot from Lewis. Even if things pan out a certain way and Lewis can help Ferrari and Leclerc win a title.... what a win that would be.

It may turn out like Schumacher coming back to Merc. But you could argue that it lead to Rosberg winning his title and Lewis winning his.

This is an extremely strong driver pairing! They’ll learn from each other.

HAM had Alonso as a rookie, which was very difficult, but I think LEC might prove an even more difficult task over a season.

He had no choice but to have strong teammate, either Russell or Leclerc. Lewis wasn't so eager to replace Bottas with Russell because of Rosberg flashbacks.

I wonder whether all this pomp for Lewis has any affect on Charles.

it's a historic marriage you can't expect Ferrari to not talk and show off about it lol.. beside Ferrari has been fair to both carols and Charles in terms of social media promotion they could have acted like alpine for leaving driver, but they have not.. they even let them fight on track Fred kept his words he doesn't have no1 and no2 driver..
