I was referring to the fact that he said that we are behind the big 4 and between Alpine Williams, who will do better on some tracks and who on others, that's what I read on x. Also on x I read that Cowell said that Newey will perhaps intervene on 2025. His presence will be important in my opinion already from Melbourne to find the right window and exploit what the car has.

Did he need time? In 2009 Redbull already had a title-winning car. Redbull dominated from 2010 to 2013, then left F1 because he didn't like the rules As soon as he re-dedicated himself, he made history again with Redbull and without him Redbull struggled last year. Newey WILL BE a great asset, but the expectations of a lot of guys are somewhere between unrealistic and naive.
The first car he worked on was the 2007 Red Bull, not the 2006 one. But in reality he simply waited for the regulation change that happened in 2009 and made history with a team that simply could never win. It's like when you have CR7, Messi in the team, you don't have the certainty of winning, but you are sure that they will make a huge difference. He is the best engineer of all time and I guess he will have an impact at least for set-up work for the 2025 car. But it's not the case that he walks through the door at Monday in Silverstone and says, "do this, do that, something here, something there", and they are suddenly winners. That's not how it works and certainly not in modern F1.
