Kimi had a broken bib. Should be fun watching what he can do tomorrow with a repaired car.

It’ll be wet, at the very least I think it’ll be exciting. I’ll be watching just to see what he can do
Team ANTI-HYPE. Prove it, then I’ll anoint you.

Kimi has had some good races in the rain in F2. Also, some of the various private tests he did with the old Mercedes cars last year were in the rain. So he should be able to do well in the race.

very impressed by Antonelli... other rookies put it in the wall, he is the only guy who brought the car intact without overdriving, and without underdriving as well. Full marks.

Kimi is an incredible talent! Fantastic job from the kid, he has a bright future ahead. We need to get him signed to a long-term contract ASAP.

Also, I bet Toto is laughing his ass off somewhere!

Great drive from Kimi. Top talent. Russell delivered a solid, mistake free drive, and is always there to profit from others mistakes.

Problem is, Mercedes are in no mans land again, which sums up their entire regulation. Season should see them pick up podiums, but it will be mainly crumbs from Macca & Max.

P3 and P4 is a maximised result for Merc and they will be pleased, however there was no sign of any pace in any condition that could live with Max or McLaren.

Solid baseline but remains to be seen if it has any of the same agility and pace to unlock.

Team is miles behind McLaren and Red Bull and got very fortunate with the weather calls today. Must be so painful and embarrassing to see their customer team dominate the sport, using their own engines that they put so much hard work into building and developing, they probably should've said no but given that McLaren were really nowhere at the time they probably didn't see this coming at all.

Well Mercedes look a whole lot better than ferrari. Leclerc didn't make any impression on Russell after he passed tsunoda. So that is a positive. Seems the apparent hangover of LH leaving is non existent now.

That wasn’t the case. It’s mainly because of how mixed the conditions were that Mercedes didn’t particularly have a setup that was good enough this race, you have to remember Redbull was the slowest of the top teams in race trim during FP2. I strongly believe the results are far more exaggerated that it seems, FP2 showed the pace of the cars in ideal conditions.

We’ll see next week.

Miles behind, in these conditions. It shows the W16 doesn’t suffer from the same issues as the W15 and when it comes to cooler conditions. So, we’ll see in China with a representative session to how the grid stacks up in the dry.

Well even with Lewis driving last year...merc finished 2nd in the sprint...so that bodes well for a car that works at Australia...bogey circuit for merc
