Comfortable win. The Red Bull was easily comparable to the Mclaren this week. Very close between them.
Mclaren had an easy 3/4 tenths advantage, but they messed up qualifying and that was that.

McLaren was clearly faster, this race was won yesterday with that magic lap and today with Max's class in keeping Norris at bay while managing the pace; plus papayas sabotaged themselves as usual in strategy and poor race management. Good for us.
At the very worst, RedBull had an answer to McLaren's pace today. The race having little to no deg maybe has something to do with it, but the gap Max had to the next non McL car in free air was pretty much the same as the gap McL had to the next non McL car in free air.

The "tractor" claims are a bit much imo.
Red Bull was second force this weekend, I think closer to Mercedes than to McLaren, which had less margin than in previous races though.
I would say Red Bull was third quickest if you went by qualifying. Russell bottled qualifying, and track position was king.
This race was just a repeat of Qatar last year. McLaren's marginally quicker but Max won it by first outqualifying them and by keeping it clean for the entire race.

Lando had a pretty scrappy race. Expected more from him but it's good if they keep fighting with themselves as far as the driver's title goes.

Mclaren followed in dirty air all race. They were probably 2-3 tenths faster, just as qualifying indicated, but simply could not pass. Anytime that the gap went out to 2 seconds, the Mclaren driver brought it back down to 1.1. That's not even considering that Piastri was faster than Norris and simply got road blocked by him.

No they didn't. They could have got higher but it was always very close. The Red Bull was fast and comparable throughout.

Yeah you could very well be right, Mercedes is a very good car and Max is obviously flexing RB21's value, difficult to judge which car is best. Also consider that Suzuka may have been a very good track for RB21, as tradition of last years.

Red Bull qualified 1st and finished the race 1st. Nothing out of the ordinary happened. They were not 3rd quickest.

SIMPLY LOVELY!!! A drive of pure perfection all weekend from Max. That’s why he’s a class above the others.

McLaren bottled the strategy boxing lando the same lap as Max. One should have tried the undercut and the other the over. Nothing to lose in a 2vs 1 situation. Very poor there.

Red Bull must address the pitstops....the new people have not delivered...that was a potential race losing moment. It was surreal sitting onboard during that bottled stop.

What a drive by Max, what a beast. What a win, nearly crying right now. Didnt see that coming really, probably we are the second fastest team this weekend. But wow.

According to Horner:

1) They failed to make the flap adjustment that Max wanted at the first stop.
2) They had reserve mechanics on the pitstop as 2 of the primary mechanics had emergency back in the UK.
