I don`t understand this. How can a car lost half a second from P3 to Qualifying?
We've been pushing more in the FPs all year.

Because practice is practice.

I am speechless. It's disappointing at this point as Lando makes Max look better than he is.
Ridiculous. Just accept it that Verstappen is outstanding

Piastri looking more solid. Norris is more sensitive. If everything hooks up, Norris for pole, but that's less likely to happen.
The championship fight is going to break Norris' heart if Piastri swipes it from him in the end. He might just leave McLaren after.
You’re coming in with some crystal ball predictions at race 5/24
 Not a fan of both, but both really good guys and it's tense watching where the pendulum swings between them both. It's really close. I would even say it doesn't even matter that Mclaren are dominant, F1 is entertaining because we have two fast guys in that car and none are contractually #2. The other cars are just there to make up numbers at this point, but it's all good, we have an intriguing battle at the front.
I wouldn't say that making a championship challenge is making up the numbers

I'm not sure Piastri could have gone faster.

I do think Lando gets Pole if he doesn't bin it. He was faster put there of the team. Oh well.
You think he couldn't find a hundredth?

Of course he could, it was unfortunate, but we can still do it. Lando can go long tomorrow and play wingman for Oscar.
Maybe but likely do could Max im sure.

He is, but he still has a very fast car, especially in these conditions. Like Suzuka.

I spoke too soon! MCL39 not so dominant when temps are low, plus it does have a little twitch, which is a weakness.
For Sure!!

Right, but your giving Oscar a ceiling because why? Why was that the very best Oscar could do?

The car is fast today, but let's not forget where Tsunoda is. Max is doing very very good. It's unfortunate for Norris as I feel he was the fastest today.

Verstappen not as optimistic for tomorrow but I’m sure he’ll be hard to beat.
Lets see where we are all at when it comes to race pace

The car was never dominant as the idiots lead us to believe. Dont forget Red Bull brought upgrades and things have become equal now. I am confident though that tomorrow Piastri will eat Max for breakfast.
I don’t think it will be easy at all. If gets him at the start, then yes. But if he is P2, then it’s not certain by any means. Sector one is a murderer with dirty air, so McLaren needs to be quite bold here strategy wise to get ahead. Overcut or undercut desicively. They haven’t shown that so far, so I think it can very well be another Max win.

I just thing a narrative pushed by the teams has helped people go with the idea we are dominant after some good results.

Temps definitely play a part, I mentioned earlier that others like Ferrari got closer in colder temps.

Not really as in Jeddah there are 3 DRS Zones compared to Suzuka who barely has one. Oscar will have his chances.

I just thought he'd wrung put as much as he could. I'm not sure it was a bad lap. Maybe, he could have done better, I dont know.
