I disagree. I think they botched the setup due to the lack of long runs. The tyre was splitting open on the shoulder that is insane levels of deg.
I believe Russell doesn't have good tyre management skills as people try to hype up to be, Kimi was catching 6/7 tenths a during the last few laps. It's unfortunate, this could be bad setup but ultimately it's up to the driver to manage it well and well.... yeah, I've just seen that with Leclerc.
I don’t agree with this. If that was true, then why Leclerc couldn’t get to him in Bahrain? Where there was high deg? It seems to me that Leclerc has poor tyre management as well.
Leclerc was on the hards which Max said was awful.

I am just nitpicking like you just did. Clearly, there was something wrong with the car. Glad that your driver got P3. You should go to the Ferrari forum and celebrate.

Exactly. It's decidedly the that car that will fight for a podium, but will likely never win it.

Losing 3-4 tenths in sector 1, knowing you're matching those in front on the rest of the lap must be so frustrating.
Yeah, I know George is very down right now because I know he's upset with his race pace. He just seen Verstappen fighting with the Mclaren and the Ferrari of Leclerc going for much longer, seeing the Ferrari passed him with no problem, his Teammate was going quicker than him behind, and you have to bring up the contract rumors involving Verstappen.

It sucks man.
You're reaching so hard, you'll pull your arm out of your shoulder at this rate.
Pull a shoulder? Did you not just see Max come within touching distance with Oscar and that Mclaren in a Redbull that supposedly should be slower than both the Mercs and Ferrari? Like, I you think I'm just saying this to tear down Russell when I can admit he's much better than a lot of doubters say, but ultimately you cannot deny he was fundamental flaw when it comes to overall race management vs others? You think I'm here to hate him? What good reason would I need to do so?

Goodness, we can't have certain criticism about driver flaws now just like how people do with Lando?

I'm happy Leclerc got a podium finally, but I'm nowhere near a Ferrari or Charles Leclerc fan but I'll be honest that he's a very talent driver. But being honest no one is as talented as max right now, that is no debate.

I want to believe Russell is on the level of Max, but it gets harder and harder everyday for the last 3 seasons.

That Red Bull was quite obviously the second fastest at worst car this weekend, but you know that. In terms of race pace, the obvious line up was Merc at 4th fastest behind Ferrari. RB 2nd and McLaren still quickest.

You are saying this to tear down Russell, and it's silly. He's proven his tyre management skills are fine, only as recently as last week. They did little to no long running in practice, and screwed up the setup from what I can gather.

But your comments do indeed smack of just riding a hate train and it's weird.

As said by another, go celebrate your own driver's success.

I am baffled that this guy is still running with the “Rus churns his tyres” gimmick in 2025. Brother only just watched Jeddah it seems lmao.

Okay, you think I'm here to teardown Russell. Okay, like this is nothing compared to the "He'll never be world champion" saying that many of the doubters seem to say because I know he'll be a world champion.

But you think criticism = hating?

His tyre management skills are "fine" and yeah that'g good, but in this sport, it's not unfortunately. Russell has the speed but, imagine the level he would be on if he practices and focus on his tyre management skills?

I'm not here to celebrate anyone skills Brodie, the other teams can enjoy their podiums that's on them, Russell can be a dominate force if he gets over this one thing, and that's all I'm saying.

You can defend George all you want and keep that opinion that's up to you bro. It's the threat of Verstappen looming over if he ever does decide go for George's seat which I don't want for him one bit.

He’s not coming to Mercedes lil bro. Max brings more negatives than positives. He’ll either stay at Red Bull or go to Verstappen.com racing.

I missed the 2nd half of the race but before I left I remember Russell leading Leclerc. Was there a car problem? How did Russell lose basically a pitstop?

Lil bro is crazy lol alright. But I said if he ever decide, because ultimately I want George to be better than Max but I'm watching Verstappen doing just impossible things with the car under him.

Yes, he brings downsides but you cannot lie, You already seen from Japan and Jeddah why Toto would want Verstappen.

Even when I doubt Max for 1 weekend, he somehow pulls magic, I don't know how he does it.

This race reeks to me like Brazil 2023. They screwed up the setup somehow.

I think maybe they thought that it would be harder to overtake here so the changes they made might have suited qualifying too much?

Pace just wasn't there, like the Mercedes just was nowhere. Kimi was in no mans lands and George pace just fell flat on its face.

Probably the reason.
