Hmmmmm, well the principles are still the same (only the penalties for failure differ)..........and if you don't think it's actually an accurate comparison........then why make it in the first place?Giblet wrote:As usual, u assume too much seg, and are comparing apples and Formula 1 teams.
The principles are still very much the same and it still doesn't get away from the fact that you quickly found out that your three month assessment was based on nothing concrete because you didn't think ahead. You might have got away with it in a small-scale project but USF1 won't based on the evidence of how they've gone about things over the last few months.I was merely jumping in with both feet, I made no promises to the media, and have no sponsors to answer to. My goal was a realistic goal and I in fact accomplished that goal.
Not sure how much to read into this next bit (Fairly minor plumbing parts.), but here's a forum post from one of their partners. Who says he first made contact with the team in December, and the parts are yet to be delivered. On this point, Lopez said: "I estimate that around 25 I will travel to North Carolina to be on the official team presentation in Charlotte and, if necessary, I will make a preliminary check on the car, before official tests February in Valencia. They are water/oil quick disconnect couplings, like a Wiggins clamp (http://www.titanmotorsports.com/adwituco.html).xpensive wrote:Intersting cooper-climax, quite an innovative way of selecting partners for your F1 team, no?

I quite agree, not exactly fundamental components, and that's what trade shows are for. I was more interested in the timing.spacepig wrote:They are water/oil quick disconnect couplings, like a Wiggins clamp (http://www.titanmotorsports.com/adwituco.html).xpensive wrote:Intersting cooper-climax, quite an innovative way of selecting partners for your F1 team, no?
Probably fewer than 8 on the car, and these are very likely dimensionally compatible with the Wiggins standard flanges anyway. It's not like they wandered into the PRI show and came out with a gearbox supplier.
Christ, why am I even replying to you?
The gearbox supplier was announced in November.cooper-climax wrote: I quite agree, not exactly fundamental components, and that's what trade shows are for. I was more interested in the timing.
