Seriously though f1-direct just posted this:
Yesterday at the press conference, De la Rosa and Buemi complained of having a very sore neck. This is due to the heavy load of fuel in the cars.
How does having lots of fuel give you a sore neck? Acceleration is acceleration, right. What does mass have to do with it? Whiplash?

Was a member here before, "goony", who worked at McLaren and he xplaned it, poor sod lost his job because of that.
It's a so far unchartered area where Bernoulli laws don't apply, only to have been discovered in the windtunnel by McL.

Isn't there a place where we can read at full stints lap times :?:
I remember there was such a site last year but can't find it.

Having only best lap times have never been relevant, but with cars now potentially running with a 100kg difference it has become utter crap!

Reading autosport live, Massa was doing his long stints in the 1'16s, so the 1'11s times and such are quite probably irrelevants.

i suspect that the top 3 lap times probably ran with low fuel. This makes me speculate that Ferrari is probably the top car.
Also, I suspect, Schumi has already made a point that he should be no.1 hehe....

The McLaren time is definitely on a healthy fuel load. Lewis just knocked a little bit more off his time at the start of a 23+lap run (according to the lap count on his pit board).

Earlier there were tweets that whilst on 30lap runs the Williams was in the 1:14's and the Ferrari was in the 1:16's!! But again we have no idea what the fuel loads and programs are so still treat it all with a healthy pinch of salt.

Can you explain what that "dead zone" is? What changes compared to Bernoulli. And on which car part?

There's no official answer so just a whole load of speculation by armchair enthusiasts. Some are theorising it's internal to the car, but my favorite is the explanation of air being directed out of a slit in the back of the rear wing (visible in the McLaren specific thread) such that it reduces the turbulence in the wake produced by the car, reducing the drag.
