Ross Brawn on Mercedes GP pace:

"BBC Sport's Sarah Holt in Valencia: "Lunchtime in Valencia brought an all-too-short spell of silence to the Ricardo Tormo circuit and me a chat with Ross Brawn.

"The Mercedes boss says it is still very early days but he has some revealing thoughts on his team's comparative performance:

"'It's always very difficult to judge. On full tanks yesterday (Tuesday) we didn't look too bad but we're a little bit off on pace and (there are problems with) the handling and balance of the car which we can fix for (the next test in) Jerez. We know what the problem is.

"'Of course the other teams will be progressing as well so we are reasonable, not as quick as Ferrari and Lewis looked quick yesterday. So it looks like we've got a bit of work to do.'"

It's about the size of an A3 piece of paper, I would say.

Take a look at here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paper_size
It is an ISO standard: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_216
It should be very similar in size to a "ledger/tabloid" in the US.

thanks for supporting my laziness on that subject.. quite a bit larger than a US legal sheet than... thats quite large cross sectional opening compared to the under floor scoops we saw last year when the cars were in the air.

Alonso is now in the 15s and presumably runing with full tanks.

Is 4 seconds what we would expect to lose when on low fuel vs full?
